Yeah, we love the bunny...the bunny is GOOD...Chris:
Yeah, we love the bunny...the bunny is GOOD...lol.

As to ALL the points you've made...BRAVO.
You always seem to say with brevity AND clarity that which I get long-winded about.
(you shoulds been an author)

That is EXACTLY the problem, and the parallel with breaking a PEOPLE versus rebuilding them person by person is brilliant.

I do recall Killraven (having spent a fair amount of time in a comic book store), but that WAS a long time ago (for me)...might have to refresh my own memory on that.

But that story sounds familiar.
(never collected that issue)

Thanks much for taking the time to drop by and comment.

YOu stay safe up there, brother.Bob G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09222203353717749897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33342813.post-14831799982835649792015-03-26T12:10:08.998-04:002015-03-26T12:10:08.998-04:00AWB is back!

The rest goes along ...Glad to see the bunny again.

The rest goes along with 50 years or more of ignoring a problem. Generations who don't give a crap about anything have been raised. How are we supposed to teach Johnny the worth of hard work, ethics, and morality, when he can look at cousins Malcolm and Tunisia, and he can see that as long as he gives no weight to self respect, it's easier the other way? So Johnny does what all the other little thugs do and buys "gun respect". And why not? His dad bought gun respect (God rest his soul), his mama never went to school and probably isn't as smart as he is, his community leaders have been more active in who they can sue than what's good for him, and the city continues to mumble, "If I ignore Johnny, he will go away."

Did you ever read Killraven back in the day? There was an issue built on the non-relationship between Hawk (Native American character) and his father. Hawk still had self respect... but it alienated him from his father, family, and people. And when Hawk tried to show his father what a shithole his life had become, never doing anything but playing white man's games on the computer, his father replied, "But on the computer, I am a star. The computer shows me respect."

Point being, when you tell a group they're worthless long enough- they're unimportant long enough- they take you at your word. Ask a Bolshevik how long it takes to break a peasant of that mindset. You can break a people as a group, but you can only rebuild them one at a time. And where we're at, there's not enough time in the world.CWMartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06798867734074134647noreply@blogger.com
