As for her column, I think she does that to mentally "have a laugh"...heh.
Her mind IS just that - amazing.
---I know you do, and even though I've never met them, I don't like 'em!
---As far as retail goes, we've already got a lot of "wasteland" down here. And if this "trend" continues, it will keep spreading.
I just hate to see the LAST remnant of the Bowser complex bite the dust.
---HULK MODE for Scrappy...LOL!
Your dad nailed that one - flooring the gas pedal on the open road to "clean the carb".
---Right...even the class clowns managed to outgrow their antics, and to fail was a pretty big "no-no". Today's kids lack respect throughout the societal spectrum.
The leftards can place that "esteem" BS where the sun never shines, too.
---What you say about the workplace is a DIRECT result of at least 1 generation of "esteem-building" versus hardline respect and education.
Work ethics? What's THAT?
If Peanut can rule the world, there might be hope...shame I won't be around to see that.

Hey, thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Stay safe (and dry) up there, brother.Bob G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09222203353717749897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33342813.post-5868924170949769412017-01-19T19:40:41.775-05:002017-01-19T19:40:41.775-05:00I remember Marilyn, but it has been a LONG time si...I remember Marilyn, but it has been a LONG time since I've thought about her. I thought most of the questions asked her on her column were a waste of an amazing resource.

I know well enough about OUR customers, thank you...

IDK what to think of the RD building demo... I guess we are going to have to accept the movement of FTW northward, leaving a concrete wasteland in it's wake...

I think the manic stage, like Scrappy's "Incredible Hulk Mode", is a way of getting heart pumping exercise... as my dad used to say, "Blowing the carbon out."

I think the main difference in the unteachables is, back in the day, they were mainly content to fail quietly, or at worst being a "class clown". There was still respect for the teacher, if not for themselves. These days the thuglets have neither.

Unfortunately the rule of the day in schools seems to be "one size fits all" and "don't punish the poor dears, lift their esteem." And since there is no self esteem when you are not made to adhere to personal goals, the whole thing falls to bits.

But you know, work is a lot like that now, too. Socialization can be more important than production. Especially if you work in a dickweed place like Arden was. The thing is, the spoiled brats of one generation have become the incompetent parents of another. You can't imagine how proud I am that KC turned out the way he did. If Peanut surpasses him as much as KC surpasses me, he'll rule the world someday.

CWMartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06798867734074134647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33342813.post-80797776662573291122017-01-19T14:43:38.729-05:002017-01-19T14:43:38.729-05:00Momma Fargo:
