That whole thing was a disgrace. When public officials aren't required to answer for their actions (or inactions), they no longer work for us. And that's not what the founders intended.John DuMondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02266303187278433892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33342813.post-59015052554756201952013-01-24T12:58:04.173-05:002013-01-24T12:58:04.173-05:00CWM:

Some of the stuff I saw defending Hilary on the Web last night made me ill--she was definitely flustered.

Several years ago, I worked with some government types on project involving the history of the Underground Railroad. I presented some information on local Quakers and African-Americans that assisted in the movement, and was pulled aside later and told by one of the leaders that they were only interested in the African-Americans. Not only did they want to ignore part of history, they did not want any of the "soft" African-Americans from before the movement like Frederick Douglass of after like Washington to be highlighted.

It was a lesson in the mentality of some for sure.

Enjoy the day.Slamdunkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13087161268629251860noreply@blogger.com
