Some Things To Make You Wonder...
With an impending winter storm staring us (throughout the Midwest) squarely in the kisser, we tend to hunker down, prepare for the onslaught, and hope the worst of the storm winds up "somewhere else"...
I've always followed such sage advice, but I'm from the EAST COAST, where we tend to get some really nasty "stuff" every winter, even though we're not QUITE as hardy as the souls living in say...Wisconsin, or Minnesota, or even Northern New York.
Still, we "East-coasters" do alright when it comes to dealing with bad weather.
And with any possibility of getting "snowed-in", comes the inevitable CABIN FEVER.
Can't really say I've ever suffered from that (and especially in THIS neighborhood), as I tend to be a "homebody".
Plus, I've been in the mountains during a snow storm...nothing is as serene and tranquil (as long as you have plenty of provisions).
But with some potential time on your hands, what better thing to do than pick up a good book, put on some soothing music, or contemplate one's place in the big scheme of things.
When I was a kid, I used to go play in the snow. As I got older, I still went out in the snow...to SHOVEL it.
And as I keep getting older (while I'm still shovelling), I wonder from time to time..."What the hell am I doing here...at this freaking point in time"?
In many ways, I've always felt out of step, whenever it came to WHEN I should be here. I much prefer the Middle Ages (sans the poor health conditions and the rampant diseases), or perhaps the Victorian/Industrial age Era (from which most of my Draconian "beliefs" seem to emanate from).
I also wonder WHY I am here, and that got me to thinking (once again...a dangerous thing for me).
Another reader's blog kind of flipped the switch, and that lightbulb went on over my head (and NO, it's not one of those damn toxic FLUORESCENT bulbs...it's INCANDESCENT, thank you very much).
As I answered her reply to my comment, I had to admit that I am here...NOW, as a form of COMIC RELIEF...for GOD (and others).
I was never a "class clown", but I was never at a loss to make others laugh, be it the parents, classmates, or friends. Life of the party, I've been called, but I NEVER placed a lamp shade upon MY head (and never intend to), or did anything that could come back to bite me in the butt later in life.
It was always good, clean fun...never harmful. I used to do a lot of impersonations (which explains ALL those voices in my head...LOL).
I can still do a few these days,..enough to get by with making the missus smile from time to time.
Now that's not to say I don't have a SERIOUS side...friends, I can get SO damn serious, that I can make the POPE look like one of the Marx Brothers.
Some people from my past told me I have a "Jewish sense of humor". And I wear that with a certain pride.
I always did admire Jackie Mason & Myron Cohen.
Others have said I have a "British sense of humor".
Okay, so I always liked Benny Hill, too.
Helluva combination, eh?
But if I can be serious here (Lord knows I have WAY too much to be serious about in THIS part of Fort Wayne...with THESE "locals" living around us), it's not so much being able to make others smile...or laugh that would ever make me special in any way.
I have never thought of myself in such terms...and probably never will.
It's just a part of WHO I am...and a result of the culmination of MY life's experiences, as well as the souls I have met who have had some influence on me, and I on them.
That's pretty much what EVERY one of us is all about.
Dad always made me laugh, and I am after all...my father's son.
We ALL share life's foibles...we just aren't all that aware of it most days.
Some of us take too much too seriously, while others take nothing seriously at all.
EITHER of these will get you hip-deep in all sorts of crap in life...and in a hurry.
I guess what I've managed to do, by design or most likely...by ACCIDENT, is meld the two, and find a balance between them.
Sure, there ARE things that need to be taken with a grain of salt, and could be laughed at, while other things NEED to taken very seriously. But isn't that part of our journey...to discover which is which and to learn from them?
I've always thought so, but that's just me.
Now, I said all that to say this...
One of the things you should take SERIOUSLY, is WHERE you live.
To be more precise...what "city" you find yourself inhabiting.
It SHOULD be a relatively "safe" place...conducive to raising children, nice to drive through, friendly...that kind of stuff.
Unfortunately, I do NOT live in such a place, although with either some SERIOUS city departmental intervention...OR about a box full of half-sticks of T.N.T., we could make this area such a place again.
But as decrepit as my part of Fort Wayne is, there are places in this city WORSE STILL (and many better).
Overall, this town isn't too bad, but there IS one city that tops them all, and don't say GARY, INDIANA...you'd be wrong!
Is it Newark, NJ?
(Not really)
How about Flint, MI?
(getting warmer)
Definitely Detroit, right?
(close, but NO cigar)
Let's try SAGINAW, MICHIGAN....!
(...pause for effect....)
Saginaw, you say?
That's right...when it comes to CRIME PER CAPITA (in cities with 40,000+ population) none other than THIS city tops the charts!
(who knew?)
Now, I have to say I would have NEVER guessed THIS city...not from all the cesspools I've been through JUST on the East Coast!
Gee, now I wonder WHAT (specifically) makes THIS city so damn "unique" when it comes to crime???
I think YOU have the same thoughts as I do...
Seems to follow most every time, doesn't it?
And NO, it's NOT the economy to blame.
PEOPLE are the root cause, regardless of what others might tell you.
But, we'll save the entitlement-driven aspects of our society for another time...
So, if you've got a bit of time on your hands...think about life...and what you need to take seriously in it, as well as all the things designed to garner a laugh or two along the way.
Life is WAY too short to be taken THAT seriously, but there will be times when being serious will have to become "Job-One".
We are tasked with being able to determine WHEN those times are.
This is one of those times when you can't tap the SNOOZE button, or engage the CRUISE CONTROL...life doesn't sort itself out that way.
And when next you ponder WHY you're here...look about you.
You'll most likely find the answer a lot closer to home than you could have imagined.
We are all here for a reason, and the sooner we understand that, the better off everyone is.
In the meantime, keep those shovels handy and the rock salt nearby...you're probably gonna need 'em.
Drive carefully, do well today, make a difference, and...
Stay safe out there, America.

Humpday Happenings...
Well, here we are...smack dab in the middle of the week, and a Midwestern storm system...how can we possibly get ANY luckier?
It may not feel like Minnesota...YET, but it sure feels like we're getting there.
Global warming....HAH!
But let's not dwell...
Like most of you, I've been following the aftermath of this recent terrorist attempt to bring down an airliner over the USA, and I'm not at all comfortable with having this guy being "tried" as a common criminal in our judicial system.
We're hearing people banter semantics back and forth, day after day, and nothing really is getting accomplished.
This guy is an ENEMY COMBATANT, and was taken into custody (by passengers wrestling him to the floor of the plane, I might add) not wearing a uniform OF the enemy...that used to mean he was a SPY, and spies USED to be shot...or hanged.
So WTF is going on now with all this now?
Obama comes out and claims the "system" failed...after our DHS Secretary Napolitano says the "system" WORKED!
Who the hell is right?
Our intel communities had information on this man, and pretty much sat on it, because it didn't fit "specific" guidelines for surveillance or apprehension. Maybe we should AMEND those "guidelines"...or maybe call them something a bit sterner than mere guidelines.
TO me, a guideline is more of a suggestive aspect to a function that needs to be performed.
We need some "etched-in-stone" kinda stuff, agreed?
No more suggestions...take some definitive action.
Then there's the whole "profiling" slant to this...
Some want every person who even appears to be Islamic or Middle Eastern checked out, and that could include Hispanics, Blacks, and even some mulattoes, as well as Greeks or Italians.
Others would keep the status quo, doing "spot checks".
You could wind up opening a huge can of worms with this, but when you consider that Israel's airline checks EVERYONE already, it makes some sense to "err" (if you must) on the side of caution.
After all, several hundred people's lives COULD be at stake here, not to mention any civilians on the ground, should the unthinkable occur. And we certainly don't want a repeat of 9/11/2001...right?
One thing I just can't fathom about this, is that with ALL the agencies we have in place to monitor such people and events, WHY are they "not talking" to one another?
At least, that's what we're being told is going on...
I would think that these departments and agencies are in CONSTANT contact with one another.
That, to me makes a lot more sense.
I mean, every member of these agencies are part of some family, and those family members COULD be on some airplane...or train, or bus, and could wind up on the receiving end of some loon with delusions of 72 virgins dancing in his very disturbed cranium. So there IS a vested interest to protect AMERICA...and her citizens.
Personally, I feel this situation is being spun a little...
There are already OVER 400,000 people on some no-fly list or watch list, and that number grows daily.
You could be on some list yourself...just by posting a comment here, having your OWN blog, sending a letter to an editorial department, making a telephone call and using certain "key" words in your conversation, triggering the "echelon" software in some huge mainframe at some clandestine location.
There seems to be no end to HOW you can be monitored...but that serves a very few people, and not the masses.
Sure, we could have someone in THIS country talking in Yemeni to someone else in Iran...now THAT would get someone's attention REAL fast. But it could also be as innocuous as saying the word "bomb" on the telephone when speaking about a lousy movie, for example.
The real problem here is we never really know, do we?
Again, this is what I spoke about yesterday...all this is designed to distract us from other matters both in THIS nation, as well as in countries all around the globe.
Now, you DO have to admit that personal safety on a plane is a HUGE distraction, and a deserved one.
If we become so enraged about this nutjob and his trial, how much are we concerned about that health care bill being snuck under our noses NOW, hmm?
And what about the economy? We're worried about flying safely, but if the economy really tanks, we'll be more likely to NOT be able to afford a loaf of bread, let alone a frigging airline ticket.
I think we can successfully DIVIDE our attention, keeping eyes on more than one thing happening in this country (or to it).
But, as I also said yesterday, it's all about being FOCUSED, too.
Here is a perfect case where WE...the PEOPLE of this nation need not be tunnel-visioned" as a lot of our political leaders and representatives seem to be.
This is the right time...to do the right thing for this country, and that being able to pay attention to what's going on, to be able to separate the "wheat from the chaff" when it comes to policies and political rhetoric, and to be able to make your voices heard.
We don't have to wander aimlessly about this fun house full of smoke and mirrors, constantly bumping into reflections to understand what direction THIS country needs to be headed in, do we?
Not a damn thing wrong with keeping something...anything in perspective.
We need to make sure other terrorist attempts don't occur...that's a given.
We need to take positive action AGAINST those enemies OF this country.
We need to be setting the pace and not playing "catch-up".
All this is possible, if every one of us sticks to whatever game plan is working for us.
And if it's NOT working, we need to dump it, and find something that DOES.
THAT is what made this nation great...and what will sustain it well past out time here.
Keep the shovels handy (if you live in the Midwest or on the right coast), do good to yourself, do well for others, and...
Stay safe out there, America.

Stirring the Gray Matter...
Every once in a while, there comes a time when creating a blog post becomes a bit problematic.
Funny thing is...it's NOT due to a LACK of things to blog about; quite the reverse.
It's often a case of informational overload.
There is just SO much crap going on at every level, that it's difficult to disseminate what specifics one wishes to post on a given day.
If it's not the FEDS mucking something up, it's the LOCAL government, hard at work, trying their damnedest to slip something past us.
And if it's not the government, it's some of the people themselves. I mean look about you and do an idiot count.
Bet you run out of fingers before you run out of idiots.
And if it's not other people, it's probably something happening right under your roof, like a sickness, car repair, or even (shudders)...something about the house that needs mending or replacing.
Aside from ALL of THIS stuff, every one of us has to make sure we're not a victim of crime. We also have to make sure our kids are getting schooled properly, and that their needs are met. If you have family pets, they also need tending to.
Then there are our financial obligations, such as those nasty BILLS.
We still need heating, electricity and water (especially with all this global-warming BS that's sending temps nose-diving into SINGLE digits for a week at a time), don't we?
It's little wonder we get caught up in some or most of these things while ignoring the rest.
And it's all by design.
The GOOD news is that it's not totally by YOUR design, so pat yourself on the back.
There are forces in place that mean to distract you from the tasks you have at hand.
And like I'm fond of saying...it all becomes a study in FOCUS...for each of us.
We must never loose sight or become detoured along the path to what we all are striving for.
Focus...and proper motivation can work a myriad of minor miracles when it comes to walking that rocky road.
--And speaking of "miracles"....it would BE a miracle if crime took a sabbatical on the SE side of Fort Wayne, but alas, it has not.
While monitoring the police radio yesterday, I heard a signal *53* come across (armed robbery), and where do you think it happened (again)? If you said the LOW BOB'S smoke shop on Lafayette St, you get yourself a gold star, kids!
That's right, in less than sixty days, this same store was robbed.
And this is exactly how businesses disappear from this part of town...trust me.
Less than TWO months ago, this story appeared in the local paper:
((Lafayette St. tobacco store robbed - Journal Gazette - 15 Nov 2009
Fort Wayne police investigated a robbery at Low Bob’s Discount Tobacco on Saturday.
The robbery was reported just after 1 p.m. at the tobacco store at 4601 Lafayette St.
Two men entered the business, one of whom brandished a handgun and demanded money, police said.
The robbers left with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, according to police.
They fled in a red four-door car, heading east on East Sherwood Terrace, witnesses told police.
Compete descriptions of the robbers were not available.))
Witnesses later said the robbers were BLACK.
And once again, on 4 January, 2010, we have relatively the same scenario, only no red car was involved, and the perps are still at large.
Here's the story from today's paper:
(( Journal Gazette- Holly Abrams reporting - ...The second robbery was reported just before 11:30 a.m. Monday at Low Bob’s Discount Tobacco at 4601 Lafayette St., a report said. Two men entered the business and demanded money.
They fled on foot with cash and 3 cartons of Newport cigarettes, police said.
One robber was described as in his early 20s, black and heavyset – about 250 pounds and 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and displayed a handgun.
He wore gray sweat pants and a dark shirt.
The second man was described as in his early 20s, black, the same height, light-skinned and skinny. He wore dark gray jeans and a gray hooded sweat shirt.))
Stealing the NEWPORTS gave it away as a crime perped by blacks....that's a given.

Talk about lightening striking TWICE, hmm?
THIS is the problem that the city leaders and the black community can't seem to address.
Or maybe they don't WANT to....(no kickbacks or freebies to get from this)...?
You see? THIS is some of the "stuff" that distracts us from seeing the bigger picture that I mentioned above.
Well, it does hit closer to home, whether it occurs in MY city...or yours.
--We can also add to this mix the wonderful new addendum to the No Child Left Behind gig (that will never work as conceived), and that's the "RACE TO THE TOP" program for schools to receive FEDERAL funding according to school performance.
I was talking with Mrs. Bobby G. last evening about this (her being an educator and all), and we hit on some interesting aspects to this (soon to be flawed as well) program.
I liken this "race to the top" to the old playground game "king of the hill", and what puts that ONE person at the pinnacle of that "hill"?
It's the ability to toss everyone else the hell OFF...that's what.
You get to the top of the hill BY ANY MEANS...see the comparison here NOW?
We'll have schools doing all sorts of things in order to have the "best sob story" to the FEDS, in order to become the king of the educational hill. Laying educators off is the LAST thing that should even be considered. Moving administrators all over the place isn't a good deal, either. Each person has their own "style" of administration, and it takes at least 2-3 years for that style to be realized...good OR bad. THEN, you make whatever move is necessary...but certainly NOT before.
You have to give people a chance...to succeed OR fail...works on the battlefield...works in the school system.
There 'ya are...another "distraction" for every one of us.
I mean, you don't take a recruit on the pistol or rifle range and pass his ass when he can't even hit a bull in the ass with a bass fiddle, simply because you want NO SOLDIER LEFT BEHIND. He KEEPS qualifying UNTIL he gets it right and passes the course. He might not graduate boot with his group, but he WILL pass, unless he quits, in which case he should have never been in the military to begin with.
(and bailing when things get tough will have it's own consequences later in life...being a no-show dropout, that is)
We need to start doing the same with the kids early on in school...they can't get promoted UNTIL they have a grasp of the grade's expectations and knowledge level...simple as that. If Johnny isn't able to comprehend the 2nd grade, maybe we shouldn't PROMOTE him to the THIRD GRADE...'ya think?
That way, when they get to middle and high school, the educators aren't dealing with a bunch of lack-luster morons who know they'll be passed anyway, just so the school can get the federal money.
And THAT is how you produce smarter children...oh, wait...that's the way we USED to do it in MY day...
Time to "reinvent" that wheel again, right?
Yes, friends....so much to pay attention to these days, unlike times past, when all we had to worry about was staying whatever color we were born, paying taxes and dying.
Whatever bed we wind up making in life...we are the ones that have to lay in it.
That's not to say we're not up to that task.
We should be...we need to be.
We HAVE to be.
America still means a lot...to a lot of people.
This nation has the best chance of being a continuing world leader...a nation others should be looking UP to, and not laughing up their sleeves at. And we need to focus...and get motivated, as I said above, to make sure every one of us can honestly, and without trepidation pursue that LIFE, LIBERTY, and HAPPINESS granted us by our creator...and our founding documents.
Do well today, make a difference somewhere, and...
Stay safe out there, America.

Monday Musings...
Well, gang...here we are again; the start of another year.
Now, I tend to be one of those REALISTS in the group. I will ALWAYS "hope" for the best, while expecting the worst.
And if anything can be taken from an outlook like that, it's that you get real prepared real easy...LOL.
But, as long as you are "fortunate" enough to live in an area like mine, you always give a "fish-eye" to damn near anyone and everyone.
Now, I could launch into a mini-tirade about LIFE is about LIVING, and NOT existing, but we'll put that on the back burner for another day.
It's a NEW YEAR...all over again.
And with it will undoubtedly come a whole new 365 days of "stuff".
Our job will be to see how well we can avoid the BAD stuff, while gathering up the GOOD stuff.
Are we up to the task?
That is a question we will have to ask ourselves almost every day in this coming year.
Some of us will be, others...not so much.
I prefer to ask the question "What particular TASK are you tossing at me?"...(just so I can prepare to fight or flee).
It makes sense to prepare for things, no matter how trivial it might seem to others.
I can imagine that when Noah was building that ARK, the "neighbors" must have though him a few herbs short of a passover meal.
But...he sure was prepared, right?
OK, so maybe YOU'RE not out back sizing up the "cubit-to foot" ratios and stopping by Home Depot and checking out lumber prices or building your OWN ark, but the principle is still sound.
We need to be prepared, whether it's from some nutjob terrorist trying to bomb a mall, or airliner, or military facility, or whatever the hell else tickles their fancy to get those 72 virgins (who happen to ALL be geeked-out male D&D players - surprise), as well as anything else that might come down the pike.
We need to even be prepared against our own government, making sure our FREEDOMS and LIBERTIES aren't getting tossed under the bus for the sake of "our protection".
Our government need not take over so many aspects of our lives, just to make us all "safer", when in reality, it's more a form of population control. I think real Americans already KNOW they can take good care of themselves in good times OR...in bad times.
We need to be prepared...
We need to arm ourselves with knowledge, wisdom, courage, and honesty.
Now, I said all that to say this....
You're a 21 year old girl and you have ONE wish...what could it be?
I'll bet one of the LAST things wished for would be a DEBT-FREE FUNERAL for yourself, right?
Well, young Sierra Cooper has wished just that.
She has Muscular Dystrophy as well as just having found out she has Cystic Fibrosis.
Here are two links to her story:

http://www.wthitv.com/dpp/news/21-year-old-raises-money-for-her-funeral

http://www.wane.com/dpp/news/indiana/funeral-help

She will most likely not see her 22nd birthday.
But she wanted to not become a burden to her family and after a few fund raisers, she has more than accomplished her mission to secure the funding for her OWN funeral and her medical expenses, thanks to others with large hearts.
Where the hell do you find young people with such courage and fortitude as this every day?
The short answer is...you DON'T.
Sierra is a role model for ALL of us, make no mistake.
Personally, I'd like to see a miracle happen and her prognosis change to allow her the longevity to enjoy her life.
Well, that's would I would wish for now.
Instead, I will take away a sense of pride, knowing that such young people STILL DO exist, and they become beacons for all of us to gather 'round. And during that time of gathering, may we all come to better appreciate that which we have, whether it's our life, our home, our family, our children...whatever.
And just like Sierra...we DO (and will) need to prepare...for whatever life has in store for each of us.
Do good today, make a difference somewhere, and...as always,
Stay safe out there, America

Friday Follies...New Year Edition - 2010...
Happy New Year and welcome to a brand new year AND decade.
I trust the journey here wasn't too bumpy.
The day wasn't a total loss...AMC ran a Three Stooges marathon, so I got my yucks in early.
After that...well...read on.
Let me first start off this decade by saying...(hope you're all sitting down and that you have nothing in your mouth which could spray on your keyboards)..I WAS WRONG!
Yepper, starting the new year out by admitting that I...was in ERROR.
Not afraid to say it one damn bit, either.
I stated as far back as YESTERDAY that the (illegal) "celebratory" gunfire in our neighborhood would begin about 2315 hours (45 minutes before midnight)...BOY, was I wrong!!!
The FIRST shots we heard happened around 2145 hours...some blacks just cannot satisfy their lack of manhood SOON enough, can they? It continued until after 0100 hours THIS morning, with the relative "newbie" blacks on our block (three houses down the street) out back, shooting off not one, but TWO different pistols (highest count was TEN rounds at one point).
Suffice it to say, I called it in as a signal *113* (shots fired), and explained to dispatch that the two people were in their backyard.
I didn't see an officer come by their house out front OR back (as Wifey and I were watching like hawks), but very soon after that, the two men briskly walked back indoors (perhaps they have a scanner?).
In retrospect, maybe I should have said to dispatch that the officer should "approach with caution", and that the call going out should be kept "off the air"...maybe NEXT New Year's Eve.
OR...I could just walk down, pump a few rounds into both of them, and get MY public service for the year out of the way early...LMAO!
Nah, I'm too civil for that...or AM I?
It was a less than stellar beginning to 2010, but you come to expect that around here. Some people go partying, coming home well after 2AM, yelling in the street and honking car horns, which seems to be typical among low-class blacks with no future (but a nice ride, clothes and a fat gub'ment check that YOU are paying for). Those that remain in their "crib", are the ones with all the guns and ammo.
So, if I understand THIS particular type of "diversity" correctly, to ring in the new (ghetto) year properly, one must put on their saggiest jeans (with the glitter swirly designs on those pockets), some sort of team sport logo shirt and/or jacket, a recently stolen baseball cap (cocked at a 30 degree angle off the front with the tag still hanging from it...much like Minnie Pearl used to have on HER hat), a pocket full of blunts or crack...or both, a hand grasping some 32 OZ can/bottle of a BUD derivative, and a handgun shoved into whatever passes for a "waistband"...
Sound about right?
Now THIS is exactly the type of person I want to manage the future of MY country...oh, yeah!
Hell, I don't even want this type of person living on my street...but I got 'em anyway, thanks to a VERY flawed societal "system" that rewards stupidity, irresponsibility and bad behavior and provides for them "because they're poor".
Really?
REALLY???
And here I thought no one told FAIRY TALES these days...silly me.
We recently had a situation where a HOMELESS PERSON was packing heat...!?! That's right...the guy was homeless, BUT...he still had a damn gun.
Talk about skewed priorities.
Well, this year might be a little different in my neck o' the woods.
I'm not making any "resolutions" (per se)...but maybe a promise or three.
I DO know that I will solemnly PROMISE to send ANYONE screwing with my property or my family to the morgue..free of charge.
Every year, things around here never seem to get any better, and every year, I take just a little less sh*t that the year before.
And I'm certainly NOT getting any younger thanks to it.
So, let's just say I'm beginning the new year and decade with what I like to call a DECLARATION OF INTENT regarding the "locals" around here.
As to the contents of it...well, they'll just have to see for themselves, should the situation arise...
We finished the year in Fort Wayne with 22 homicides...so I missed it by 3.
Anyone with "22" wins the pool.
Anyone included in that same "22" obviously LOOSES the pool.
I may climb out on a limb again to say that I believe the magic number will be close to *25* for homicides in this city (unless the gangstas get really busy). And as long as they KILL ONE ANOTHER (and in greater numbers), I'm fine with that. But if ONE innocent becomes "collateral damage", then I have to draw yet another line in the sand. Sadly, it will take such crimes to motivate people to action, albeit for too brief a time.
I'm not going to make any real predictions for this year...too many before me have already taken care of that.
What I will say is that I expect to see no change in my part of the city...AGAIN.
Overall, it shouldn't get worse, but it will certainly NOT get any better.
We will have the usual robberies, burglaries, car thefts, rapes, shootings, stabbings, fights, and yes...even homicides that we, who live here have come to expect from our dear, sweet, misunderstood and overly-oppressed African-Americans.
(ahem...)
Well, the white trash and Hispanic population MIGHT help in that regard...you never can tell these days.
I do expect Americans to rise to the challenge of wresting back this nation from the hands of those who would seek to walk on our rights and our Constitution.
I also would have to say that ALL people of good repute will gather together in this struggle.
What I would caution people about is that race relations are reaching a tipping point, and by that I mean that what USED to pass for "lack of cultural understanding" will be called out for what it truly is, namely blatant racism by ethnics against whites.
The time when dismissing black-on-white crime while plastering white-on-black crime across the airwaves and newspapers is over.
And if this cheeses off some blacks...too f$cking bad. Maybe YOU should been busy "cleaning your OWN house" instead of pointing fingers at everyone else's.
People of this nation have been overly tolerant for far too long, and we can see the results of such apathy.
Time to reap what's been sowed.
We will stand as a people again...as AMERICANS against such "Lame-Stream Media" bias.
And that will also apply to politics...enough will be enough.
Now if all this sounds rather harsh, it's only because "It takes bitter to drive bitter". (as Mom used to say)
As I said before, this nation, and it's people are standing AT the crossroads...we can see which ways are before us.
What we have to determine with a modicum of certainty, is WHICH WAY is the BEST way to travel.
Notice I did not say the EASIEST way to travel.
We need to take the BEST road forward...it may not be easy, and the challenges might become daunting, but Americans have always been made of sterner stuff.
And THIS year...2010...may well become the crucible that tests our mettle, as it were.
Have a great first weekend of the new year, don't forget to hang all those calendars, and wherever life happens to find you...
Stay safe out there, America.
