Tuesday Tidbits...

And, it's another day in the old sweatshop...and you don;t even have to be working in one.
Yes friends, more heat, more humidity, and more "uncomfortability" (thank the southwest winds for this).
Our Hoosierland weather brings us hot conditions, with temps again reaching to around 91 degrees (at least it's not CELSIUS), increasing clouds (holding in the heat) with a chance of some rain showers sometime today into tonight (so they are telling us).

Now, let's a tall glass (or bottle?) of something cool to soothe that parched feeling, as we see what else has been going on...

*** Next up, a good drug bust on the city's (...all together, gang...) SOUTHEAST side nets two and some other "goodies".

This took place Saturday around 1540 hrs in the 2500 block of S. Lafayette Street.

Liston                           Davis

Arrested were Keytron Liston and Maverick Davis.
During the search, the department said detectives found around 522 grams of marijuana, digital scales, 2.3 grams of cocaine, Oxycodone, a .357 revolver, ammunition and $2,386.
Nice haul for the good guys.

If the name of one of the perps sounds familiar...yes, he's been "featured" here...twice.
(because we never forget, do we?)
Check my archives for the posts from both 14 march 2017 and 28 November 2014). Liston was shot back in march, but he's back doing nasty shit. And in 2014, he was involved in a rolling gunfight with an SUV. He refused to talk to police or ID the SUV, and was charged with criminal recklessness (a wrist slap), so he's got some history.
Someone needs to end this boy, before he gets others hurt.

The incident happened around 0115 hrs at Get 2 Go in the 400 block of Spring Street.

A man was pumping gas when two vehicles pulled up and opened fire.
The victim ran into the store, and when police arrived shortly afterward (they were in the area) , was transported to hospital in critical condition.

One vehicle matching a description was located near Cortland not long after the shooting.
As usual, it's under investigation.
*** Next, the neighbor's little terrors were out playing basketball until 1AM this morning, and hollering.

Baddasses-in-training

Almost called the police on them, because baby-mama was nowhere to be found (again, as usual). Love to report her to CPS for neglect. Too dark to get pictures.
There were two other "boys" that came along, taller and probably older. They hung around for a bit, and then went up the alley. This morning, I found a neighbor's trash bin, lid torn off, sitting near OUR driveway. I heard a thump around 0500 hrs, so maybe someone tore down the alley and clipped the can. I tossed it back across the alley.
I can only conclude that the proximity of the bin in the alley tagged some vehicle.
THIS is the result of all those taxpayer-funded programs that liberals love (and the welfare queens gobble up).
*** Next, time to put aside all the crap and visit "Kitten Corner"...

Our kids were mostly well-behaved yesterday...not too much chasing about, and plenty of time to view nature.
(well, at least a close proximity to what passes for it around here).

Thankfully, they have the A/C to keep things comfy, in between naps and meals.
A cat's life is often the stuff of envy.
*** Next, let's go outside and take in another "Tales of Midnight"...

Our furry buddy as feeling the heat yesterday, as he took to napping in the most shady spot he could find (and that changes during the day as the sun crosses our skies). I changed out his water a couple times, just to keep that cool.

His fur was warm, so you know wearing that black coat wasn't all that fun.
Still, he comes by like clockwork, and stays most of the day.
*** Last back the the humidifier...it doesn't take much to see that crime has been spreading around the city.

Sure, we have the usual crap down here, and once in a while, the police get it right with a drug bust or an arrest, but where it goes after that is what needs to be addressed. And that by itself is a another post for another day.
We're getting to the point that being out around long after dark is fast becoming injurious to one's health, and this can happen seemingly ANYPLACE around town. That should have more people angry as hell.
Whatever "Midwest charm" this city once had is indeed falling by the wayside, thanks to criminal activity.
And, as can be expected, it's being done by those with no regard for others, let alone themselves.

The human refuse...the surplus population...whatever you wish to call these cretins...THEY are the ones responsible for the rest of the populace having to adapt their OWN lifestyles, so as not to become victims of whatever crime is waiting to occur.
You have to be watching over your shoulder when pumping gas, or even taking out the trash (Terrance Miles slaying).

Sorry, but this is no way for normal people to live, and the city better wake the hell up to this and do something about it.
I would gladly ignore the riverfront and downtown projects for a greater modicum of SAFETY when it comes to being able to enjoy what's left of our neighborhood, and I'm sure many other would as well.

We don't want to have to "deal with it" or hear that it's "just the way society is" bullshit.
All we want is to be left the hell alone to live a normal life, and in a country such as ours, that should NEVER become a monumental task...for ANY citizen...at ANY time...in ANY place.
