Monday Musings - CHRISTMAS Edition...
Okay, so I will attempt to make this as shoirt (as as sweet) as possible.
How about that snow we got?
(sucks to shovel, but it works when watching White Christmas)
Oh, and if you prefer your winter more on the FRIGID side...that'll be hanging around ALL week, so have at it..
Please do drive and dress appropriately.
Sadly, many others won't.
(might have to gather the Tautauns and break out the snowspeeders)
Our Hoosierland weather for today..well, it's cold...with some more cold and less snow and a bit of sunshine with windy conditions. Nice to see we surpassed our snowfall totals for yesterday...a new record - 3.6 inches.
(blame global warming...lol)
Now, go get something hot inside you to chase the chill away...you're gonna ned it.
*** First out of the tundra is our "What the hell happens today, Bob?" feature:
DECEMBER 25 (ho, ho, ho):
---It's CHRISTMAS!
(big surprise, huh?)
---It's A'Phabet Day aka No "L" Day
(har dee har har...)
---It's National Pumpkin Pie Day
(got that one covered!)
*** Next, we made it to OVER 40 homicides (Murr Crimmus, as they say in the ghetto).
The natives have been restless.
We currently stand at 41. More on them tomorrow)
*** Next up, I'm one of those idiots that likes to shovel early and often (you wait until it stops and it's REALLY heavy, so I am playing it safe instead).
What you use to shovel in OUR neighborhood!
Plus, in THIS cold, it freezes real fast to the ground and shoveling becomes a tad pointless..
So, better to shovel light snow three times and have clear walkways and steps than wait and bust a nut clearing all of it AT ONCE...right?
*** Meanwhile, over at "Kitten Corner"...
Lookit all that snow out there...
Well, the kids TRIED to get into the tree after it was decorated...they failed wonderfully.
I know, I know, I know...
They did have plenty of time to watch birds and nap...made me happy to no end.
*** Next, let's see what's going on with "Midnight and Company"...
The furry twosome were braving the snow and cold as best they could (wearing fur coats and all).
Feeding was fun...had to go UNDER the patio table to stay out of the snow (I shoveled a "berm" around the table to cut down the wind.
I know the Whiskers was using the shelter...wish Midnight would. Make me rest a lot easier.
This old guy doesn't do a bad job for his age...
Still, he kept warm by "supervising" my shoveling out front.
*** Last back to the manger...Christmas IS a really good time of year - the type of time we should ALL be enjoying the OTHER 364 days. Such isn't the case, though...
It's not MY fault, or YOURS...it's the fault of those for whom society looms as nothing more than a huge victim, waiting to be preyed upon.
That's being more worse off than Scrooge was...at least he ignored many he viewed as beneath him.
Unto us is born a Savior...
We need people to get their heads out of their collective butts, start becoming more civil...and respectful, especially when it comes to others.
And that starts with a good healthy respect for ONESELF.
That is the kind of "gift" you're not going to find under ANY Christmas tree, but can be found easily enough when seeking God and HIS greatness.
We celebrate His son's entry into the world at this time of year...and it should be easy enough to celebrate His entry into our LIVES every day OF that year.
Just something to think about on this day.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

From our home to yours...
Have a very Merry and blessed Christmas!
