Friday Follies...

Like the (recently banned by some radio stations) song goes - "Baby, It's Cold Outside".
But, that's what comes when you approach the winter months, right?
Time for long underwear, sweaters and such.
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us mostly sunny skies (what did we do wrong now?), temps trying to climb above the freezing mark (32 degrees F), and that's all we need to know (because the forecast doesn't say much).
Just be cautious out there when driving (or walking) as with temps in the teens this morning, there could well be some slick spots. And do dress for cold weather.

Now, let's get a cup, glass or mug of Friday Fortitude poured and parked nearby, as we see what else has been going on...

This took place around 1800 hrs (Wednesday evening) at B&H Firearms located at 419 W. Paulding Rd. I cleaned up the photos as best I could. Billy had good cameras there, but these two morons didn't care about being seen.
Hope the two (black) males get caught and that both Billy Harris (owner) and his dog are okay. I haven't stopped by there in years when I got my PT145 there (and at a very good price, but I BOUGHT mine).. FWPD officers shop there as well.

As for getting back the stolen guns? Well, the ATF is involved, so these weapons WILL be tracked (unless someone removes the serial numbers, which is another crime). Don't be surprised if shootings RISE in our fair city.

Now, I will admit that there COULD well be an increase in CO2 emissions, and there also might be a viable CAUSE as to why...
We have a LOT more people (every day in fact) being born on the planet, and guess what?
They ALL have to do something called EXHALE.
That's right...everyone produces CO2 every single time they exhale.
So, I suppose the next step for these global warming "doom-sayers" is for everyone to STOP EXHALING. ...

All conspiracies aside, there is some curious inscriptions on them (10 in all). Here they are:

It used to be a bit easier to avoid the (original( seven deadly SINS, but since society has been "evolving", the "isms" mentioned are of a more surreptitious nudge in the wrong direction. And people ARE falling for this crap.

Our kids once again were pretty good, an with fewer bouts of running around. I always enjoy not having to worry about a cat running into my legs when I walk through the house.

Hard day doing nothing.

I've taken my share of trips (both in country and out) and THAT (kind) would not be near as enjoyable as those in my past...lol.

Watching for the trash truck

Our furry twosome again spent the day close by, and when the trash men rolled through (around 1935 hrs at that), I had my supervisor there to make sure I brought the empty bin back and locked the gate.

She's watching, too.

After that, he was joined by the other cat and they both got back-step treats.
She no doubt took to the shelter, while he needs to follow her lead and use the other shelter.
I think he enjoys making me worry about him.
*** Last back to the furnace...remember me talking about how some people view this time of year NOT as one of GIVING, but one of TAKING?

The recent firearms store robbery bears that out, doesn't it?
As does all the other THEFTS and BURGLARIES I'm seeing around town.
That story they had the other day on the "porch pirate" female who took a package left at a doorstep by the delivery person is a prime example..
People do NOT have any sort of "right" to blatantly STEAL from another...for ANY reason whatsoever. It's one of the Ten Commandments (not suggestions, btw).
And when I see such behavior, I can't help but get royally pissed.
People work their ass off to GET what they need (or want) and here comes some shit-for-brains morons who think THEY are entitled to that stuff, when they don't even work at all.
It goes far beyond being unfair in my book...it's a lot closer to reprehensible.
This is what society gets for even allowing any sort of subsidies or entitlements to become an ingrained factor OF that society.

There's nothing wrong with charity, but being charitable to oneself by denying others in the process is evidence that we need to change our ways...and soon. To persist in this manner invites anarchy, and we sure as hell don't want that.
Therein lies the lesson for the week.
