Tuesday Tidbits...

I was looking at last week's posts (and pictures hat I took of our area), and this is sure a HUGE change.
And, it's great NOT to have to shovel any snow off of anything (or wear layered clothing).
This mild streak is slated to end by the weekend...then, it's back to winter, but nothing near as bad as we had LAST week.
Our Hoosierland weather brings us cloudy skies, temps reaching to around 41 degrees, and some rain coming by later in the day into the overnight hours (could be slick tomorrow morning with temperature drops - take note).

Now, let's get things started with a refreshing  beverage, as we see what else has been going on, shall we?

*** Next up, and speaking of crime, we have this little gem:

This took place around 1420 hrs yesterday at a tire shop located at 1321 Fairfeild. Av.
The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

((Police said after the robbery, employees of the tire shop followed the suspects and a block away, at Fairfield Avenue and Taylor Street, the get-away vehicle crashed. The suspects then got out of the vehicle and ran off on foot, police said.))

Nice weather for an armed robbery, that's for sure.
*** Next up, I had to smile when I looked at page 2 of today's Journal Gazette.

There was an article about something I spoke of recently - the EARTH'S MAGNETIC POLE SHIFT.

And guess what? It IS moving FASTER to Siberia (from the Canadian arctic)...no real surprise (if you read this blog).

Yes, with a shifting magnetic field comes a weakening OF that field, and more solar activity impacting our planet (that will warm things up).
I'd love to see the climate changers try to "splain" this and how mankind can "cure" it.
THEY CAN'T. Our Earth does what IT wants to do, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

The kids were liking the change in weather and spent some time watching the few birds we had come by.

"We enjoy being cute."

I did hear a cardinal, but didn't see him. Gallifrey has a habit of jumping up (sometimes, over 3 feet) at the patio door to "reach" the feeder outside. Scares off any birds.
Violet just watches. She's not into such activity, and doesn't need to be when you're that cute.
*** Next up, let's check in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...

"It's SO nice to NOT be freezing."

Our furry twosome were here for breakfast, Midnight had to patrol until dinnertime, while Whiskers stayed in a shelter, coming out for lunch (she ate some of his lunch, too...little piggy).

"Half the fun is the anticipation..."

When Wifey got home, we ALL spent some time on the back steps, with the cats getting some treats. Midnight was wet from waiting in the light rain, rather than sty under the patio table (where it's DRY).

The REAL racism in the USA

Apparently so...and getting a lot more traction than they should be.
It would appear to be an adjunct of the whole toxic masculinity deal and this is just more fallout from it.
Personally,  I am more than a little honked off at these people who foster such nonsense.

And again, they grab a BROAD brush to paint ALL white males in this manner.
Maybe if we stopped allowing this push for social justice, and just were a lot more SOCIABLE one to another, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
A little civility does go a long way.
Just a thought.
