It sure LOOKS like we chased the rain away...if only for a DAY (yes, it returns tomnorrow, so don;' stow the umbrellas just yet).
Add to that my morning starting out in a craptastic manner with AOHell login issues (since resolved) and still waiting for our "morning" paper, I can write this day off as one in which I wake up smiling...heh.
Still, I won't linger on this crap.
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us mostly SUNNY skies (well, that's different), temps climbing into the mid 50s again (take a jacket anyway) and NO rain for a change.
That we can do, right?

Our kids were VERY sedate yesterday, and by that I mean they were taking things easier than usual (for a cat, that's saying something).

"I'm going Japanese, at least I THINK so."

Sure, we had some cuteness, and head bumps and leg rubs, but aside from that, they just napped the day away. It's such a hard life for them...isn't it?

Our furry twosome once again had to deal with light rain and drizzle for part of the day, making feeding time a toss up.
I did my best to feed them in the open, and when they had their fill, place the bowls under the patio chairs, away from any rain that might have come down.

"I don't care as long as the food's here."

Naturally, both were AWOL for lunch, but back for dinner and naturally, backstep treats.
(we couldn't miss that, could we?)
*** Last back to the hangar...I've been reading up on this whole TARIFF deal, and I have to say, it's been enlightening.

If you get a chance, you should read the history of them, and not just in other countries, but how America, in it's infancy, dealt with this matter.
Granted, we've come a very long way, especially with all the "globalization" that stares back at us daily, and trying to figure out all the complexities of that would be like trying to untie a Gordian Knot.

Since we're no longer a true "manufacturing " society, this complicates matter greatly. We've been moving away from such a society since the 1970s. If anything, we're now more of an information-gathering society.
With the advent of the 21st century, we've even managed to digitize that information...and have reaped both the benefits as well as the problems associated with it.
This is not a n issue that will go away quietly, that's for sure.
But it is a situation that could be solved, if we allow reason to take center stage.
I think that method always works best.
