Jumping (into) The Shark...
We've all heard of the term "Jumping the shark", but here's the "skinny" in case you forgot:
Jumping the shark is a colloquialism coined by Jon Hein and used by TV critics and fans to denote the point in a television program's or film series's history where the plot veers off into absurd story lines or out-of-the-ordinary characterizations.
This usually corresponds to the point where a show with falling ratings apparently becomes more desperate to draw in viewers. In the process of undergoing these changes, the TV or movie series loses its original appeal. Shows that have "jumped the shark" are typically deemed to have passed their peak.
I suppose you can ALSO carry this analogy over into the POLITICAL realm.
Just substitute "administration" for the word "show"...simple, huh?
Yeah, that sums up today's take on WHERE this nation is headed REALLY well.
There have always been times that try men's souls, and certainly times that have tried MY patience (as well as yours), but there comes a time when you have to stop dead in your tracks, and begin to think to yourself WTH is going on here?
We are living in just such a time.
Now, that can be BOTH a GOOD thing...AND a BAD thing.
The GOOD part of this is that we are eyewitnesses to HISTORY as it happens, and how we view it, remember it, and chronicle it will determine, in many ways, the course that wail be charted.
The BAD part of this, is that we have all this "stuff" coming at us at warp -speed, and we often wonder HOW we're going to disseminate all this information, so we can honestly UNDERSTAND it, while sifting through all the obfuscation and BS.
Glenn Beck had a riveting show on last evening (and it continues the rest of this week), and it was astonishing to see the national debt "clock" running amok like some out-of-control freight train down a mountain.

Now, after only viewing it for a few SECONDS, I could only WISH my bank account accrued INTEREST that damn fast!
We're talking some SERIOUS money here, people.
What I found REALLY intriguing about last night's broadcast, was the fact that one of our newest "Czars" was an avowed COMMUNIST.
The "Jolly" (ho, ho, ho) Green Job Czar (Van Jones), is what I'd refer to as a "Real piece of work".
Given his background (checkered as it is), I'm surprised he'd hold such a position so close to the president and so high up within the administration. This is like making Michael Vick the CEO of the ASPCA, for cripe's sake!

This is beyond what we'd call "cronyism"....in fact, this is downright treasonous (imho) to have someone that has proclaimed himself a radical in the form of Marx and Lenin serving under OUR nation's flag, taking an OATH to uphold OUR Constitution.
Oh, in case you were wondering, here's the OATH we all have to have administered to us when we sign on to any facet of the Federal government:
I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.

Now, will someone please tell me how someone who ascribes to Communist principles, can honestly BETRAY that by taking THIS oath? Isn't this a case of talking out of BOTH sides of one's mouth?
What can we believe at this point?
Now, I'm not into all these conspiracy THEORIES, but when good, solid EVIDENCE is presented, and corroborated by OTHER sources, it ceases to remain a CONSPIRACY, and has now entered the world of FACT.
There is a sort of "master plan" at work here, and it's like some bizarre wild strawberries winding through the garden...no matter HOW MUCH of it you yank out and remove from the soil, you never get it all...and it keeps coming back and growing again.
Think of it as the mythical Lerneaen Hydra from legend (2nd labor of Hercules).
Every time a head was cut off, TWO grew back (but only ONE head was immortal).
Now, I was postulating the possibility of a coup 'd etat by those in our government that would also discover the truth and wish to act upon it. The mere thought of such a possibility is pretty damn scary (and obviously chaotic), and I would like to believe that THIS nation is above such tactics.
But think about it...
In the movie Seven Days in May, a high-ranking (and charismatic) general in the military sets a plan in motion to oust the president from office (because of his nuclear policies with the Soviet Union). The President's popularity is waning with the people, and the general feels the time is ripe for a "change".

This is one helluva good movie, but cautions about what COULD occur if such a plan was ever implemented (it would be a first in the USA). Personally, I don't think "storming the Bastille" is such a great idea.
It just makes me wonder that if *I* can see the facts being presented, and YOU can see the same, how many others of much greater "influence" and power in this nation are finding this out as well...and what might THEY be thinking about all of this?

Beck's show is presenting FACTS...with HIS opinion on them.
You can't argue facts.
You can debate them, but they're still immutable.
It would do people well to watch Glenn Beck this week, if for no other reason, than to learn the FACTS.
Facts lead to truth, and truth sets people free.
Not a bad trade-off for an hour of your time.
We are truly living in remarkable times, people.
Let us remain vigilant.
Ask the questions that NEED to be asked.
Demand answers when none are forthcoming.
Freedom is never "free". It always comes with a price, and it can be lost or misplaced...if we allow it.
