Friday Follies...
Is it just me, or are these weeks becoming more filled with all sorts of things we'd rather not be part and parcel to?
Thankfully, we're staring at another WEEKEND. (or is that the weekend staring at US?)
In any event, we're here, so let's make the best of it, shall we?
** First off, had to cover up my hyacinths because we had a FREEZE last night (down to the mid 20s), and if there's one thing that does NOT mean anything "EASTERY" (Bob's lexicon) it's a bunch of dead hyacinths.
Around our house (in Philly) at that time of year, all you could smell was the scent of hyacinths.
You see, Dad and I would always go out and chase down some for Mom.
And those were the days when a single bulb plant could be had for a DOLLAR.
Dad always got Mom the white one, and I got her a colored one (pink or purple).
So, the affinity I developed for these plants has followed me long into adulthood.
** Next up, I know those of you who watched last season's Police Women of Broward County (on TLC - Thursdays at 9PM) have been riveted to your TV sets THIS season with the showing of Police Women of MARICOPA County, right?









And if you haven't..shame on you all.
If you recall, Maricopa County (AZ) is the home of none other than MY favorite sheriff...Joe Arpaio, who makes prisoners wear PINK everything, from handcuffs to underwear...LOL!
I love this guy, and the deputies he has in his charge are nothing short of fantastic.
This season's show follows four deputies as they patrol the county, catching the bad guys and making their territory safer for people like US.

What I find fascinating is the methodology they use whenever they institute a traffic stop.
They WILL pull you over for not having your license plate bulb operational.
Man, could THEY make some money in MY part of Fort Wayne...!
Oh, wait, that's what our police are for...I forgot...and so do they ( a lot) when it comes to making stops for such things down here.

An illegal immigrant who Kosciusko County police believe was a major cocaine supplier in the area was arrested late Wednesday.
A tip came from Elkhart County officers who arrested a man Wednesday night on a cocaine-dealing charge.
That man tipped police to 19-year-old Jose Villa Jr., who was operating out of the Wintering Pines Trailer Court, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said.
Police from Kosciusko and Elkhart counties raided Villa’s mobile home at 340 E. Levi Lee Road Lot 176 in Warsaw about 11 p.m.
A search turned up just more than a pound of cocaine, which has a street value of at least $10,000, police said.
Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert called the drug task force bust "huge" and said Villa was a major drug supplier for the area.
Villa was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing cocaine. Investigators also determined he is in the country illegally and contacted federal immigration authorities, police said. ))
Well, someone's doing some decent drug work, aren't they?
And they got a wetback to boot...nice job, people!

** It's certainly NOT the Philadelphia I remember, that's for sure.
We're seeing and hearing about these "Flash Mobs" appearing in the city (on South street, a once NICE place to eat and shop), and innocent people are getting hurt.

Now, I "suppose" we could just brush this aside in the name of "diversity", claiming that these morons are ONLY exercising their "ethnicity"....(yeah, right...don't think so).
Somehow, that whole ethnic-culture "thang" doesn't hold any water these days...not with behavior such as THIS, does it?
I'm sure some bleeding heart will either blame George W. Bush...or the economy...either one is simply WRONG.
None of the thugs in this picture look the LEAST bit "poor"...do they?
Looks like they got plenty of "Obama-Money" (from the taxpayers).
They obviously all have CELLPHONES.That's how they all get together to form these mobs.
And I don't see ANY thread-bare clothing , or shopping carts full of belongings in the bunch.
What I do see is a large group of people bent on chaos and mayhem, and woe to any whites that might get in their way.
THIS is how you divert peoples' attention to the problems we face...with ANOTHER problem.
This is not about a rival gang fight, like the Sharks and the Jets...no way.
This is about attacking innocent citizens...for fun (and sport).
Sorry, but if YOU think that's fun, then you're gonna LOVE what I will start considering "fun"...like shooting your sorry asses for being the anarchistic bastards you portray yourselves.
When a city, ANY city faces an issue like this, the ONLY way to quell it is to "send a message"...
You come down on these people HARD, FAST, and CONTINUOUS, until they get it through their thick-ass boneheads that THIS type of behavior WILL NOT be tolerated...period, because they OBVIOUSLY haven't learned such things "at home".
The sad part about this, is that this is EXACTLY what I said about having technology, but NOT the wisdom to PROPERLY utilize it.
Poor people, indeed....
Gimme a break.
Problems such as this rear it's head in most every city where we have large groups of people without properly discipline and upbringing, and they're largely ethnic in nature.
Remember the Hispanic outcry when Bush mentioned about securing the border a few years back? Kids were taken from schools to walk the streets in L.A., and the American flag was burned in the streets.
But, whenever some Tea Party people show up as a display of solidarity against unfair taxation and runaway spending by our own government for programs destined to fail, THEY are the ones labelled as "radicals"...
What about these FLASH MOBS?
Aren't THEY a bit more bellicose and belligerent?
Aren't THEY a more IMMINENT and REAL threat to this nation's people?
Nah, they're just displaying their DIVERSITY...nothing to see here.

I have long believed that another civil war is coming, and I cringe whenever I think about it, but the warning signs are there.
Look around you...read the papers...watch the (real) news.
Think of problems such as these as that "blind pimple" that's under you skin and hurts like hell.
You KNOW it's going to come to a head, sooner or later, and will eventually pop.
Well, that's the way it's looking in America.
Things ARE coming to a head.
What YOU have to do is steel yourself against getting caught up and expressing your anger in some sort of violent rage.
God know I do that every frigging day around here, and it's NOT easy.
Hate abounds, and I'm not a hateful person. I find it weird that others could hate me, when they don't even KNOW me, but that's on THEM,...not me. They're the ones that want YOUR stuff...YOUR house...YOUR life.
And it's all because THEY are too damn stupid and lazy to do anything for themselves that resembles the life you've been building for YOUR self and YOUR family.
Used to be a time when everyone DID pull their own weight, and people were there to help one another, if the journey became difficult.
Today, it's all about what people can GET...for FREE...and HOW MUCH...and FROM WHOM (that's you and me).
That's certainly NOT what this nation was founded upon.
The ideals, and values and principles we USED to exhibit were rooted in the Almighty, and by a government that were BELIEVERS in a higher authority than themselves or any form of that government.
Now THAT is a part of history worth revisiting...and DEFINITELY worth repeating, right?
