Humpday Happenings...
Welcome to the middle of the week, (Happy Washington's Birthday) and we've plenty of things going on, so I'll try to glean the "best" from the bunch and have at it.
But first, if you read yesterday's post, you found out what can be a motivating factor in a person's life.
And with any type of motivation comes a sense of purpose along with a certain DISCIPLINE, in order to make it all happen.
With that, let's delve into this day's WHO SAID THAT? quote:
"One of the primary purposes of discipline is to produce alertness.
A man who is so lethargic that he fails to salute will fall an easy victim to the enemy."
The answer at the top of tomorrow's post.
Now, on to more criminally-intensive things...

*** The Ft. Wayne City Council went and approved that 40% water rate hike over three years instead of two...big fat hairy deal...(( yawn )) no REAL surprise there, hmm?

*** Gas prices continue to rise (because of fear, mostly) and we can blame that on the FACT that in America, we've had NO NEW REFINERIES built over the last 30-40 years. We actually had THREE refineries just south of Philadelphia CLOSE in recent years (as I mentioned a while back).
It's amazing how we can EXPORT fuel (diesel and crude) at rates that surpass ANY OTHER export item in THIS country, and yet HAVE TO IMPORT refined unleaded gas back INTO the country...anyone as creeped out about this as I am?
*** The Kroger robber has been caught - God, how I just LOVE "Happy Endings".

One Billye D.Gaulden, 36, of 4401 S. Hanna St (latest address to date) was taken into custody Monday after a scuffle with police (sure looks that way -great mugshot... LMAO!) at the 900 block of McKinnie in an alley between Spatz Ave. and South Park Drive.
(Now, what did I tell you about the FWPD finding him in MY part of the ghettohood??? Someone in the investigative division MUST be reading my blog.)
The marvelous irony to this, was that Gaulden was TAZERED by the officer on scene.
Gaulden was not incapacitated by the discharge. (probably wearing a heavy jacket like most all the perps do around here for just such a situation)
Eventually, the officer took Gaulden to ground and when Billye refused to place his hands behind his back, the officer cold-cocked him in the face, initiating "compliance" forthwith...
The officer stated the punch produced "the desired response"...yeah, those tactical gloves (often with nylon-reinforced KNUCKLES) do come in handy, don't they?
Gaulden was initially held on $20K bond, but was jailed (for 60 days) on another "unrelated" misdemeanor.
But what kind of "good boy" was Billye anyway?
I'm GLAD you asked, because here is his RAP SHEET:

((...AHEM...))
Apparently, the former stints he spent in various jails (since he was 16, if you figure back the math) didn't dissuade him once damn bit from continued criminal activity...
THAT is simply A-f$cking-Mazing!
Anyone else think this specimen is a prime candidate to give my 9MM a blow job?
(I wouldn't waste a .45 ACP round on his sorry ass)
I will bet his accomplice (the female) is ALSO in my neck o' the woods, so keep on looking down here, people...you'll FIND her.
I can pretty much guarantee that.
THESE are the types of results you can expect from decades of generational government dependency.
And such repeat offenders need to go away for a much LONGER duration (forever would be a damn good start).
You could say this perp had plenty of "motivation", and not the GOOD kind.
He's been enabled to do wrong since he was a kid. I would bet the farm on that (if I had a farm).
Now, you can point fingers at who failed him until that dainty digit falls off your hand, but the REAL culprit here was HIMSELF.
He failed himself...period.
And since he's gotten off lightly in years past, we can most likely expect him BACK on the streets soon enough...to start the ball rolling in his court all over again. I guess it'll take him (eventually) killing someone to make the sh*t stick to the damn wall, right?
I mean, he HAS proven himself to already be endowed with a lack of caring when it comes to human life, so it's only a matter of time.
My only hope is that the right person pulls the trigger on him when so required...FIRST.
And if volunteers are needed, well...
*** Lastly today, we see both the result of proper discipline (by a LEO) as well as what the LACK of discipline (by a felon) can do in a person's life.
We are all UNIQUE beings, in that there has never been, nor will ever be another JUST like us...ever.
And with such uniqueness comes a certain sense of empowerment...or should be, anyway.
To become empowered, one must first practice a certain amount of personal discipline.
And that comes with the accumulated knowledge and (hopefully) wisdom we have secured in our lives.
Every one of us has the opportunity to grow as individuals...to learn, and then to teach either by example, or by formal educational practices.
Or...we can just sit around, leeching off of anyone and everyone, waiting for that next gravy-train to pull into the "station".
But what does that accomplish?
Short answer - absolutely nothing.
There used to be a time when we ALL policed OURSELVES a lot more and a lot better than we do today.
We practiced discipline in our lives, and that worked for us...damn well, too.
There is not one part of our lives that does not require some amount of discipline...or purpose.
In fact, those two kind of go hand-in-hand, don't they?
Without DISCIPLINE, there is no purpose, and without PURPOSE, you can never have the need to discipline oneself.
That should be something we might need to think about a little more frequently.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

We can't build refineries because it's bad for the environment. You know, as opposed to putting the oil on ships (that can wreck) and sending it on a several thousand mile journey. (Duh!) The total lack of logic on the part of the enviro-weenies really steams my clams. We're being held hostage by idiots, Bob.

It really surprises me HOW we allowed such people to gete enough power sio that they COULD hold us hostage in the first place.
I always thought America was made of sterner stuff...
(or at least more PRACTICAL stuff)

What the hell EVER happened to the country I grew up in, because it seems to have taken the last few years off.

Hey, thanks for stopping on by today and commenting.

Stay safe out there.

Gaulden's mug shot should be made into a poster, or even a billboard for the FWPD, with the caption "He made my day- how about you?"

ROFLMAO...!!!
I had even thought about that...

That is freaking BRILLIANT!!!
Well, you certainly made MY day...humor-wise, that is.

Thanks for that, and for stopping by today and commenting.

Stay safe up there.
