Tuesday Tidbits...
And it's not just ANY Tuesday - it's "FAT" Tuesday, or Mardi Gras Day.
Funny, I didn't know they had an official "day" for Mardi Gras...usually goes on for a week or more.
Here in the Hoosierland, we're still in the grips of winter and all the COLD that comes with it.
We're in single digits now, but we'll be warming (?) up to a high of around 23 degrees, and I'm fairly sure that compared to the cold of outer space, that IS relatively warm.
Got some sun today along with some clouds and no breeze to speak of, so fill up that hot morning beverage and let's get this show on the road.
*** First off of the icepack today is one of "those" stories that tells you much about human nature.
And here's the story link:

Whu? De sign say "fine for pissing"
Finally, someone got caught (and rather well) for pissing in public.
Seen THAT happen in our part of the ghettohood too often.
But THIS case netted some contraband.
Jamarcus D. Wilson, 29, was busted Sunday on charges of felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor resisting and public intox.
(What? Nothing about the public piss?)
It started with TRAA medics spotting men and women in an SUV limo (someone got some bucks) relieving themselves in the Speedway parking lot located at Getz Rd. and W. Jefferson Blvd.
When police rolled up, Wilson was outside the limo and tried to run.
An officer caught him, but Wilson struggled, so the officer gave Wilson a forearm to the shoulder and an open hand to the head, subduing him, according to police reports.
Wilson told the officer "You don't know who you're messing with. You've done it now".
(now to me, THAT sounds like a threat)
Wilson had previously been CONVICTED of dealing cocaine back in 2006.
(and he's back on the streets WHY exactly?)

Well, there 'ya go...ANOTHER example of a good boy - never harm anyone, the life of the party...(bullshit!)
Guess the system will be turning his ass BACK out soon enough...AGAIN.
*** And while we're on the subject...
http://www.indianasnewscenter.com/news/local/No-Jail-Time-For-Man-Who-Admitted-To-Receiving-Stolen-Property-248249711.html
Yeah, he a good boy.
This story is about on of those FOUR men who were robbing apartments Remember Davonte Hamlet a co-conspirator?
He was "featured" in my posts from 23 January 2013 and 12 February 2013
And you can check my archive post from 21 February 2013 for Tiron Beard)
Now THIS dumbass was originally sentenced to THREE years IN PRISON, but for some reason (he must be another "good boy") those years were dismissed in lieu of three years probation.
And we all know how often such felons break probation, right?
It's our (in)justice system at work with YOUR dollars.
Feeling safer NOW?
*** Guns on school grounds...and it may become closer to reality than you think.
Here's the story:
http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20140304/LOCAL06/303049977
I mentioned this state senate bill last week, and now, it inches closer to becoming law, although some people find it disturbing (until something goes sideways at a school, and they WISH they had a gun to handle an active shooter).
Maybe not so much longer
What's the old saying?
"Better to have it and not need it, than NEED it and not HAVE it".
Yeah, that's the one.
The guns would only be allowed (under lock and key) in vehicles in parking lots and not permitted INTO the buildings, and this is contingent upon having a valid CCP (wonder HOW many juniors or seniors have THOSE?).
Makes you wonder whatever happened to the days when shooting teams had rifles at schools?
*** Last back to the freezer today...you have to question most every damn thing these days...and WHY is that?
(see, even I'm doing it...lol)
Well, I see this as the best way WE, the people, can not only become better informed (always a good thing), but also hold accountable those we trust in whatever power we have allowed them to have.
When I went to school, we had teachers who drilled into us the need to be "curious" vis-a-vis ask questions.
Our parents told us likewise...we went to them if we had any questions about anything from what they did when they were our age (then) to the "birds and bees"...and more.
Nowadays, we should be questioning everything, because we've been lied to so often and for so long, that we NEED the truth.
And sometimes, asking questions might not get us an answer, but rather MORE questions.
THAT alone should tell you that you're on the right track.
Those that seek to divert our attention from whatever truth we are seeking need to be called out for their subterfuge.
Our vigilance is required to not be satisfied with whatever the flim-flamers are tossing our way.
Truth is often called unchanging law, and it is also liberating.
And the last time I checked, THIS nation was still a free one. I for one would like to see that continue.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Those days came to an end with the Wussification of America. Witness our current CinC's response to the situation in Ukraine to see the end result.

If I was the officer arresting Wilson and he said "You've done it now," I'd have said, "What, this?" as his head accidentally banged off the roof of the car on the way into the back seat.

John D.:
Thre must be a LOT of people (military as well as political) from our nation's past that have been rolling in their graves over THIS fiasco.
It's getting to the point that I just walk away from the TV.

If any free enterprise COMPANY were handled this way, it'd fold in a damn month.

We need to get our collective backbone back...as a country.

Thanks for stopping by today to comment,.

Roll safe out there.

AH, yes...that so reminds me of those wonderful PRE-Miranda days...
((sighs))
I miss those.

Oh, and the perp's head would be banging off of HIS car...not the PD cruiser (that belongs to the taxpayers who hired the officer).

Thanks much for swinging on by today and commenting.

Stay safe & warm up there.
