Friday Follies: D-Day Edition...
Greetings everyone to another weekend out here in the Hoosierland.
And welcome to POST NUMBER 2100...!
How the hell did THIS happen?
(loose the pigeons and sound the trumpets)
Has it been this many already?
How time does fly.
Today's sunrise is another one of those worthy of praise, that's for sure.
Temps will reach to around 80 degrees and no real humidity to speak of.
That is a great way to start ANY day...or weekend, is it not?
So, pour a nice big cup of your favorite morning beverage as we get cracking on what is going on.
*** First ( and last) out of the maelstrom today...it is the 70th Anniversary of Operation Overlord, better known as the D-Day invasion of Europe.
Where several hundred YARDS seems like MILES.
You can read the WIKI about it HERE:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normandy_landings
The actual term "D-Day" has had other connotations as can be found HERE:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-Day_(military_term)
And for ALL the information in greater detail, there is THIS site from the U.S. Army:
http://www.army.mil/d-day/
(this is really good)
Or, you can check out my archival posts from previous years.
When I was born back in 1952, I was only EIGHT years out from the Normandy Invasion, and whenever I stop and think about it that way, I am in awe of what was done, and how soon after that war some of us came into being.
There were so many men who came back from that war and just went back into what we would consider "normal" life...they started families, went to work, created small businesses, and so on, never talking much about the war, or their part in it.
Basically, they came, they saw, they kicked Axis ass...and then came home to their families and lives.
Omaha beach
Many others did not, and it's to THOSE men that we mostly commemorate this day in THEIR honor.
There are those who returned and would wonder why THEY were spared on June 6, 1944, when many of their comrades didn't even make it to the beaches, and to them I would say that YOU have survived to tell the story of those that gave all in the preservation of freedom and the eradication of tyranny throughout the world.
And it certainly is a story that NEEDS telling...often.
One can read books about this day and the events preceding it and following it, and one can also watch movies or TV shows that depict what went on 70 years ago, but to have those that lived through it talk about it, is both riveting and bone-chilling at the same time.
Gen. Eisenhower addresses airborne troops
-- It was General Robert E. Lee  who once said  that "It is well that war is terrible, otherwise we should grow too fond of it."
-- General William Tecumseh Sherman stated that "War is hell."
-- John Adams said that "I must study politics and war so that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy."
-- General George Patton stated that "The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for HIS country."
-- Dwight D. Eisenhower noted that "We are going to have peace even if we have to fight for it."
There are MANY more quotes regarding war, both pro and con.
Suffice it to say that on June 6, 1944, the allies were left with few options in stopping the enemy in Europe...an invasion of the continent was the only way to get it done in the least amount of time.
A small part of "The Devil's Garden"
And the operation, for the most part went well. Rommel had been led to believe that any amphibious landing would occur at CALAIS, and not Normandy, but Rommel was not one to take chances.
Here is a look at all the defensive measures he took:
http://academic.mu.edu/meissnerd/atlanticwall.html
He reinforced the beaches AT Normandy with numerous traps, mines and had 88MM field guns placed behind the beachfront to rain hell down on anyone attempting to storm those beaches.
With those static emplacements and obstacles there, he felt there was no need to keep panzer units on scene, so they were moved to Calais, where the "real" invasion might come.
Weather was a factor, as the Germans felt that only a fool would attack in bad weather, which it had been...enough to postpone the attack on Normandy ONE day.
A window of opportunity opened up (as did the skies) and the allies moved out across the Channel.
Preceding this was an airborne assault by allied elements that included the 82nd and 101st airborne. Their mission was to disrupt enemy communications and otherwise cause havoc while the beachhead was taken by regular army and Ranger units.
82nd Airborne Division
Even Eisenhower wasn't convinced this would work, and had prepared a letter acknowledging the "defeat", should it occur.
Thankfully, it was never needed.
Many think of the Normandy Invasion as ONE HUGE attack, and although the MAIN battles took place along 5 beaches on that coastline, there were numerous OTHER battles taking place that all aided in the complete victory by the allied forces.
Hitting the beaches at Omaha and Utah
THOSE stories are worth a read, because they add a layer of depth and scope to what transpired that day in ways you would never know, had you not read about them.
Usually, there are commemorative magazines by the score that chronicle those stories, and the big box bookstores should have them readily available.
You could also find them online, but it's harder to locate, because you don't know what you're looking for.
Let us just say that we owe a huge debt to all those that were present that day in 1944, willing to walk through the gates of hell for liberty's sake.
American cemetery - Normandy, France
And it's at that point were mere words fail to convey such appreciation for the sacrifices made 70 years ago, and just HOW pivotal an event this was to become in human history.
Perhaps all the grave markers for the fallen can speak when we cannot.
THEY are the real story and the REAL reason we are free today.
May none of them ever be forgotten...and always remembered.
DO have yourselves a good weekend.
Be well, make a difference to someone today, and as always...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Some Thoughts For Thorsday...
Now, while we didn't hear any thunder or see any lightning during yesterday's rain event, today has one of those sunrises that comes up LIKE thunder.
A spectacular morning out here in the Hoosierland, with plenty of sunshine on tap for today, temps into the mid-70s and after some outlying early morning fog burns off, perhaps a mild breeze or three to top it off.
Not bad...at all, is it?
So, as we greet the gift of this day, let's pause to get that morning cup of our favorite beverage filled or refilled and get busy seeing what has been going on elsewhere, shall we?
*** First out of the classroom today is the answer to yesterday's WHO SAID THAT? quote:
"The first idea that the child must acquire is that of the difference between good and evil."
This was spoken by none other than Maria Montessori (31 August, 1870 - May 6, 1952) , a familiar name with anyone who is in education or even has a child going through school. And here is her WIKI:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Montessori
While you may find her early life a bit banal, her later years, when she got into the education of disabled children were truly ground-breaking.
She was an advocate of special schools for such children with educators specially instructed to work with the kids.
She was also instrumental in the opening of the first Orthophrenic School, which trained teachers in the education of mentally disabled students.
This school was an immediate success with children in a model classroom drawn from those considered "uneducable", due to their deficiencies.
Some of the students later passed public exams given to so-called "normal" children.
And all of this occurred while she was still in Rome, Italy (her country of birth).
In 1911, she had received worldwide notoriety for her accomplishments, and it was in the USA where Alexander Graham Bell (yep, the PHONE guy) and his wife became proponents of her teaching "method" with the opening of the first Montessori School in Tarrytown, NY.
In just two years, there were more than 100 Montessori schools in America.
Maria was not without her critics, though.
The National Kindergarten Association (they actually have one of those?) claimed her methods were too rigid, overly reliant on sense-training, and left too little scope for imagination, social interaction, and play (today we don't even allow dodge-ball, so what'd the diff?).
One major point of controversy was Montessori's insistence upon tight control over the elaboration of her method, the training of teachers, the production and use of materials, and the establishment of her schools.
She has left a lasting legacy in our own educational system, as well as around the globe, and it's a really good read.
And while the rote of a traditional classroom with all that entails is still something I personally feel is needed today, we are seeing more of a Montessori influence in earlier year education in ALL aspects.
Moving on...
*** Got to watch a REALLY good movie last night on the FX channel...RED TAILS (2012).
It's a movie about the 332nd fighter wing during WW2, also known as The Tuskegee Airmen, and it paints a vivid picture of honorable men devoted to fighting the axis powers, who just happen to be Negroes (that's what they prefer to be called in the movie). They performed in such an exemplary manner and are to be held in high esteem..
There is one scene where some bomber pilots take a few of the fighter pilots into a (formerly) all white officer's club in Italy, and while they're sitting around having a drink together, one of the bomber pilots asks. "DO we call you colored? Is that what you prefer?"
To which one of the Tuskegee men (nicknamed "Smokey") replies:
"See, you guys get angry, you turn RED...you get sick or jealous, you turn GREEN...you get scared, you turn YELLOW...and you call US colored? Call us NEGRO."
First time I ever saw a rapper play a DECENT role in ANY movie
Ne-Yo plays Lt. Andrew "Smokey" Salem.
Other nicknames for the pilots include "Easy", "Lightning", and "Ray-Gun".
The above was just one of many great scenes in the film starring Cuba Gooding Jr, and Terence Howard.
To me, it was a movie that made me laugh (and not AT any of these brave men but along WITH them), had me on the edge of the chair, and even got me a bit misty when one of them dies in combat, while another one believed to be dead returns to the unit.
The REAL Tuskegee Airmen
THESE are the type of men many of our "neighbors" should be trying to emulate, and not ones that promote stereotypical behaviors.
*** And that brings me to another point to those I made yesterday when I spoke about the EVIL in the world, and how the media is attempting to make what is EVIL seem more GOOD than bad.
There is a new show starting this weekend on the STARZ channel (thank God we don't get it), called "POWER", and it deals with a black drug kingpin and his wife (former single mom from Queens who grew up poor).
Now the review in today's paper makes it appear like this drug-lord, capable of killing anyone at the drop of hat, is also an entrepreneur, in that he runs a "club", so that is supposed to give some level of legitimacy to his lifestyle.
Here's the source article:
http://triblive.com/aande/moreaande/6140557-74/ghost-says-drug#axzz33lV3yDaJ
Now, one might look at this as a form of "redemption", but it's just another ploy to make us think that evil isn't THAT evil...it's just MISUNDERSTOOD or MISGUIDED..
When the reviewer compares this drug kingpin to(of ALL people) Bill Cosby's Dr. Cliff Huxtable, in that they're both"family" men, I have to draw the line there. That's a "record-scratch" moment for me.
There is NO comparison, because Bill Cosby was a GOOD father with a GOOD background with GOOD values and GOOD principles.
(which he passed on to his TV children)
WAY better...by FAR!
Also, Dr. Huxtable has a GOOD marriage, unlike the person in POWER, who will be having some sort of tryst along the way...hey, that's what drug lords DO, people.
They might MASK their evil and it's intent for a while,. but it always resurfaces.
And we're supposed to take it in stride as not REALLY evil, but another "form" of GOOD.
Please, give me a damn break.
We don't want to wind up here again.
If this were true to life, this drug kingpin would have been in and out of jail a LOT, if not tossed away for a good LONG time, but that story would be boring.
Also, he'd probably wind up DEAD due to power struggles with rivals, so it would be a brief story...again...boring.
SO, we sensationalize it, and as a result, we are made to become more "desensitized" to the REAL issues here...
Well, it IS supposedly FICTION, but people today take much of that as FACT...that's why we have 12-year olds stabbing classmates in the woods as a ritual for the "Slenderman"., which is creepier than Freddy Kruger on a bad day (or is that a bad night?).
*** Last back to the lockers is the fact that we are allowing things to go unnoticed, such as the wussification of this country, a willingness to allow government to run our lives, and a perpetual bombardment by media sources upon us and our children with such nonsense and untruths, and as human nature (and history) teaches us...if you tell lies often enough and long enough, people WILL tend to believe them...thereby negating the real truth in the world.
And the truth is, there is something terribly WRONG in this country.
We have to be on guard to see past the facade...past the deception...and past the smoke and mirrors that seem all too enthralling for the masses.
It takes diligence, hard work, perseverance, and persistence.
But, isn't that what this nation USED to have a lot more of in generations past?
-- Tomorrow, the 70th anniversary of D-Day...stay tuned for that.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

04 June 2014

Humpday Happenings...
If you like RAIN, then today might be your day, as we are supposed to have severe storms coming through the Heartland area.
And, the highs today will be milder than in previous days, reaching only into the lower 70s.
I know the weather people have been promising some rain for days, but the Hoosierland looks to be finally getting some.
Tomorrow will see clearing skies and slightly warmer temps.
So, sit back, get that morning cup of your favorite beverage refilled and let's get busy with all the stuff that's been going on around us...
*** First out of the frying pan is our WHO SAID THAT? quote of the week:
"The first idea that the child must acquire is that of the difference between good and evil."
This plays wonderfully into the latter part of today's post, so WHO said that?
The answer at the top of tomorrow's post.
Meanwhile, back in the classroom...
*** Next up, are a couple crime stories here in Fort Wayne.
-- The first story deals with a robbery of a local CVS on the city's (where else?) SOUTHEAST SIDE.
Here we go again...
Here is the link:
http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20140604/LOCAL07/306049987/1002/LOCAL
This happened at the CVS, located at 5802 S. Anthony Blvd around 1000 hrs yesterday.
(bet he didn't hit the Walgreens across the street - they have cameras and monitors watching the checkouts there)
Although there has been no surveillance video to see, a description of the robber was available.
He's a BLACK male (big surprise), about 6 ft. tall, 160 lbs, was armed with a semi-auto handgun, and wore blue jeans, a tan and white long-sleeve button up shirt, with dark bandannas covering his face and head. He DID make off with money from the register.
No one was injured in the robbery.
What is brazen is that he told a customer at the checkout to "get out of the way", as he grabbed handfuls of money from the open cash drawer.
(try that while I'm standing in line and see where you wind up)
-- The next story deals with another robbery at a night deposit box.
And AGAIN...
Here's the link:
http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20140604/LOCAL07/306049986/1002/LOCAL
This happened at the Chase Bank branch, directly east of Glenbrook Square around 2140 hrs Monday night.
A woman was driving up to the deposit box when she noticed a man crouched in the shrubs about 50 ft. away.
He got up and ran toward her car.
He pointed a gun at her and told her to hand over the money, which she did.
According to reports, the gun appeared to be a silver .45 caliber with a suppressor attached.
(well, that's something new.. those "cans" cost money)
The robber is described as a LIGHT-SKINNED BLACK with a mole on his left cheek, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt (with the hood up) and black sweatpants.
-- This last story deals with another armed robbery on the SE side...'tis the SEASON for such sh*t, isn't it?
One more time...
Here's the story link:
http://wane.com/2014/06/03/public-help-needed-to-id-armed-robbery-suspect/
This happened late Tuesday afternoon in the 1100 block of Oxford St.
A landlord was picking up his rent money and then was followed by the suspect who had seen the transation, pulled out a handgun and placed it to the landlord's neck.
The suspect took the (rent) money and fled south on Oliver St and got into what police believe was an older model black.Kia Sportage.
As like all the other perps, this thug also remains at-large.
That's THREE (probably poverty-stricken) thugs with NO money to speak of (then where did they get the guns without money?), NO job to keep them occupied (REAL, honest work is a white thing...like education), and NO future in their pitiful lives (I DO predict and orange jumpsuit and flip-flops, however).
Heaven forbid anyone take anything from THESE crims...(like their lives - that would be a damn good start towards urban-renewal).
Moving on...
*** I wanted to speak today on the topic of EVIL.
Go ahead ...say it out loud...EEEEVILLLLL. let it flow freely from your mouths.
Which way did he go, George?
We have more than our share in this world, and it usually finds the people who need to deal with it the least.
It comes in many forms, wears many faces, and can be as obvious as noting that the sky is blue, or can be as covert as an embedded spec ops team.
Evil is here for only ONE reason...to oppose that which is GOOD.
It creates chaos in it's wake, causes problems by the score, and can force decent people to become that which they are not.
It is the YANG to the YIN of good...and we usually don't have to look far to find it. most times, it will find us.
(hopefully not unaware, though)
And, evil has been around since the dawn of mankind and the first book of the Bible.
While good serves a REAL purpose, evil does not, nor will not.
It only SERVES ITSELF...it fuels it's own fire.
And it is a TRUE equalizer of all people...rich or poor, any race, religion or gender.
Good will create and evil will destroy...plain and simple.
Just as there can be no evil from anything that is good, there can be no good from anything that is evil.
(with the possible exception of the eradication OF that evil)
Now, I said all that to say THIS...
Have you noticed a "trend" going around these days concerning EVIL?
Where once we had DEFINED boundaries of what was good and evil, we are now seeing a "softening" of those lines...a blurring of what was once clearly set before us
Joseph Campbell often spoke about good and evil in his writings concerning heroes and villains in mythology, both in antiquity and in modern times.
And in every case, good and evil are VERY distinctly defined.
There are times when that which is evil has an opportunity at something called REDEMPTION, and this also is nothing new.
The entire New Testament is replete with the aspect of redemption, and that speaks to everyone, for, as noted there... "we are all sinners".
Don't worry, I'm not getting "preachy"...lol.
Does that necessarily make us all EVIL, though?
Well, we DO have the capacity to become that, should we CHOOSE to (a conscious move on our part).
For example, given the proper stimulation, or "motivation", we are ALL killers...but, thankfully, most all of us wake up every morning and say "today, I will not kill".
What I am seeing in many of today's movies is this "misunderstanding" when it comes to those with an evil persona.
Take the recent movie MALEFICENT...the Angelina Jolie flick about that Sleeping Beauty antagonist...a witch hell-bent on creating chaos and "killing" off the heroine of the fairy tale.
I read this review in the J-G back on 30 May, and it got me thinking about all this.
Here's the link to the source article:
http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20140530/ENT01/305309991/0/SEARCH
I've just had a "troubled" childhood.
So, if I get this straight, there is no REAL evil to be found, and that all these evil creatures and people are just "complex and misunderstood"?
We're talking SERIOUS evil HERE...
Well, that explains a LOT of what's going on in our world these days, doesn't it?
We not only are capable (and willing) to rewrite HISTORY, we're also busy redefining EVIL as just something not AS good as that which IS good.
Got it.
When you diminish that which IS evil, you are permitting such behaviors that foster the evil to go less noticed (because these people are just misunderstood)...call it a DESENSITIZATION...something I've spoken about a lot here.
THAT is why we see more violent crime, and younger criminals, and more brazen crimes committed.
But, we're being told (indiscriminately) it's not really EVIL going on here...it's just some crazy form of  "misguided good" at work...
Well, there 'ya go then...we've been wrong all this time .
BULLSHIT!
We need to see evil for what it truly is...don't try and sugar-coat it, redefine it, or otherwise change it from it's core structure...it's EVIL.
HAL wasn't "evil"...just MISPROGRAMMED.
It's bad, it's wrong, and it's what is being touted as the "other good" these days in many forms of the media.
Look at certain types of urban music...mysogeny, hatred of races, women, and authority, swearing and overt sexual promiscuity...and they are top-selling "songs".
Talk about permissiveness!
We've become too permissive a society, and the only reason for doing so is to allow evil it's time and place.
I will admit that we do need "some" evil in the world...as a barometer to measure the good that can be found in everyone, so evil will never be totally done away with...that's a given.
But we have to keep in mind that evil should never take the place OF that which is good, and be hoisted to sit alongside that which is good. To allow evil equal reign is like opening Pandora's Box...all over again.
What we need to know is that the many faces of evil are there to remind us of how devious the dark side of human nature truly is.
"Luke, you were right about me."
Sure, it's fine to have DARTH VADER find redemption through his son, Luke, but all too often, evil has to be dealt with, and making it "warm and fuzzy" doesn't seem to fill the bill, in my opinion.
We don't need to, nor should we "embrace" evil in ANY way...the Bible repeats that over and over, and most any other religion says similar things.
If we are graying the black and white lines of what is good and evil, then it becomes like the picture of DORIAN Gray...and we know what happens when we gaze upon that portrait, or worse, allow others to see what evil really looks like, don't we?
THIS is what accumulated evil looks like.
I think we need to stick to the ACTUAL definitions of what we know to be both GOOD...and EVIL.
When we see things for what they are, we learn so much more, and can make much netter decisions in our lives and for our families and even for our nation.
Let's not be cajoled into thinking otherwise.
Let's let out yay be YAY, and our nay be NAY...makes life a lot simpler...and better.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

03 June 2014

Tuesday Tidbits...
Well, that was a rather lack-luster Monday, wasn't it? I mean the weather didn't provide us with the rain we were slated to receive.
We did get "some" precipitation, but it was more like a few sprinkles, and not enough to even warrant having an umbrella.
Today might be a little better, in that we may get rain later this afternoon, although it's only a 30% chance of it (promises, promises), and the temps here in the Hoosierland will hover in the UPPER 80s with all the humidity we can take coming along for the ride (a taste of Summer?).
So, as we're waiting to hear the A/C kick on, as it inevitably will today, let's take a few moments to top off that morning beverage while I scrounge around to see what others have been busy doing...
*** First off of the table today is yet ANOTHER shooting down in the wonderfully ghetto-esque SOUTHEAST SIDE of Ft. Wayne.
Here's the story link:
http://wane.com/2014/06/02/man-seriously-wounded-in-apartment-complex-shooting/
Wow, AGAIN at the Chapel Oaks Apartments...sounds like we got us some competition for Eden Green now, hmm?
This happened around 2230 hrs last night in the 800 block of Oaklawn Court.
When police arrived, they found one male (probably black) inside an apartment suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
He was taken to hospital in serious condition.
We COULD open a FWPD sub-station HERE, Frank!
Police believe he may have been struck a few blocks from the apartment.
As usual, NO information about the subject, NO motives, NO shooter descriptions, NO witnesses, and NO arrests have been made, although one woman was detained for interfering with police.
Okay, WHO brought the donuts?
(damn lookie-loos in the perimeter again).
The investigation IS ongoing (well, that's one ray of sunshine).
Moving on...
*** Over the weekend, a 7-year old was struck by stray bullets as she slept in her bunk bed.
And yes, this ALSO took place on the city's...(...all together, gang...)...SOUTHEAST side.
Here is this story link and video:
http://wane.com/2014/06/02/child-in-bunk-bed-caught-in-crossifre/
I DO like the A/C 2x4 "prop-job"...lol.
THIS event took place around 0400 hrs in the 3400 block of Euclid St.
The child was taken to hospital and released with no life-threatening wounds.
Police found shell casings outside the house, along with bullet holes in a car that was struck by the gunfire.
The girl's mother stated that the house had been hit 16 times, and police believe there was a gun BATTLE taking place from another  house nearby and someone shooting from the street.
That's NO stick-on decal down here.
A neighboring house was also struck by bullets.
The neighbors were entertaining company when the shots rang out (kinda LATE for entertaining, isn't it?)
The girl's mother said they had ONLY lived in the area for 6 weeks, and is also glad her daughter's injuries were not more severe.
Gotta love life in the ghettohood, right?
*** There it is, plain as day...the headline we KNEW was coming...
"EPA AIMS AT CURBING EMISSIONS"
Here's the story:
http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20140603/NEWS03/306039983/0/frontpage
THIS creates MOST of our electricity!
I told you this agency was shooting for the COAL industry, and there's more proof...they're admitting to it, all the while propagandizing that coal is "evil", as is every fossil fuel.
If it were up to them, we'd be living by candlelight, riding bicycles, eating tofu in mud huts because all THAT shit is more "environmentally-friendly".
And what OTHER nations will follow suit and help by doing likewise?
Short answer - NOT TOO DAMN MANY!
In fact, India and China have been ramping UP their use of coal...go figure.
And to add insult to injury, the show COSMOS last night talked about global warming, or "climate change", and DeGrasse-Tyson only briefly touched on axial rotation or "wobble", concentrating on OUR nasty use of fossil fuels.
Uh oh - This (liberal) "triumvirate" can't be good.
Talk about  disguising propaganda...
I will admit that the climate DOES change...always has, and always will, and this has been going on LONG before we were walking upright, and will continue LONG after we've returned to the dust from which we were spawned.
That's just how the universe works...and we can't change that one damn bit.
You guessed RIGHT!
Cutting coal use WILL affect things here...LOTS of jobs lost, more weight on an already overtaxed (no pun intended) national populace who will no doubt wind up bing on SOME government dole as a result.
We've got such a domino effect here, it's not funny.
*** And while Obummer is trying to make something out of weakening our country during his tenure as blamer-in-chief, there's THIS story:
http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20140603/NEWS03/306039944/0/FRONTPAGE
New signage for the SW states.
Sure, now we've got scores of CHILDREN illegally coming across our border, so rather than turn them BACK, Obummer wants to provide HOUSING and other amenities to them..so, who will pay for THAT, you jackass?
And...shouldn't our VETERANS come FIRST?
Well over 20 MIL have gotten into this country illegally (milklions MORE if you track back say...SIXTY YEARS or so), and instead of shipping them back wholesale when they ARE caught, many that were being )previously) held by I.C.E. are kinda being turned back all right...onto OUR OWN STREETS, and more than a few of them being serious violent felons.
What's blatantly WRONG with THAT picture?
These are TREASONOUS actions and would precipitate stronger measures were this in an earlier time when people knew right from wrong, and punished wrong and evil whenever it reared it's head.
You just have to wonder who is permitting the inmates to "run the asylum", because it doesn't bode well.
*** Lastly today, there IS something called EVIL in the world...a LOT of evil, and many times, it puts on a facade of something people would flock toward , rather than shy away from.
We can thank all the properly orchestrated propaganda for such things...
Tell a lie often enough and long enough, AND be convincing while doing it, and people WILL tend to believe it, and the bigger the lie, the better for those telling it.
If you think differently, you're not paying attention.
Evil is easy to spot when it is shown as it REALLY is, but not as easy when it's been sugar-coated and is made to look enticing in some way.
I will be mentioning this tomorrow, along with some observations I've made regarding the face of good and the face of evil
We can know the difference if we practice "situational-awareness" in our lives, as well as in what we read and hear from the media.
We do not have to be fooled into believing something that is false, and that's the TRUTH
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.
