01 December 2015

Tuesday Tidbits...
Welcome to the final month of the Year of Our Lord 2015...and it's been one helluva year so far, hasn't it?
Can't recall a year with this much strife since I was born, and that's a lot of years, folks.
Our Hoosierland weather today will not seem like December, with temps climbing into the upper 40s.
Even heard we have some fog out there this morning.
Not seeing all that much of it.
And since we had some light rain overnight, I'm not expecting much in the way of sunshine today.
So what say we all grab our morning drinks and see what's been going on elsewhere, hmm?
*** First out of the laundry chute is our "What the hell happens today, bob?" feature:
And since it's DECEMBER, let's take a look at ALL that's going on this month:

((there just HAS to be ONE f$cking idiot))
*** Next up, there's a world summit for climate change (here we freaking go again) in Paris, and our Cry-Baby-in-Chief is trying to lead this pack of ill-informed political hacks (all 140 of them) in ways to lower emissions.
Aw cripes...not AGAIN
Well, they could all STOP SHOOTING THE SHIT for a few weeks...just shut the hell up.
THAT would be a damn good start.
You have to understand that these global-warmists use computer MODELS and not actual data to come to those "conclusions", and while computers might be good for playing chess, I wouldn't trust them with how our planet works as far as I could toss the Chrysler Building in NYC.
There are ALWAYS (unpredictable) variables on Earth that can shift or skew their data, and you can never accurately predict (or add) this into the mix, because you don't KNOW when shit's gonna hit some fan across the globe, and NOT because of global warming..
Some island nations are bitching because water levels are rising...ever think that MAYBE your frigging ISLAND IS SINKING???
Most ALL those islands in the Pacific are built upon VOLCANIC ROCK (and are kinda POROUS).
Yeah, I paid attention when I was in science class in school - something many of these "experts" didn't
Hey, maybe "we" can take ALL THOSE people in as "refugees", too?
Such lunacy should never be given the time of day.
*** Next up, all I seemed to hear on the news (since last week) was the FACT that retail shopping took a big hit thanks to ONLINE shopping.
Gee, seems I read that somewhere...like HERE. That was a no-brainer.
Some reports were saying that the markdowns at stores were to get rid of old merchandise.
REALLY?
(read that here, too).
The big ploy is to mark UP items prior to the holiday shopping rush, then discount them and then pass those "savings" on to YOU.
Again, I said that much here.
And I'm not an economist...imagine that.
It's called being a savvy consumer.
*** Next up, Christmas shopping does get a bit harder as you get older...make no mistake about that. What you want versus what you need, right? Kinda cavalier in nature.
And while I might make a "list", there's not much that catches my eye these days, at last nothing within the realm of affordability (yeah, that Aston-Martin will always be out of reach...LOL)
Where for art thou?
As someone who is never far from his "inner-child", I always take a look at what passes for TOYS for children these days. While the high-tech stuff is "cute", most all of it doesn't have the IMAGINATION VALUE that toys of my era enjoyed.
There is ALWAYS the LEGO stuff, but most all of that is "pre-modeled" items that you build. Whatever happened to all the "free-form" things you COULD build?
None of that around anymore?
And I don't recall seeing ERECTOR sets and DEFINITELY no chemistry sets for boys.
(Jihadists are busy with their own chemistry sets)
Must be all the confusion from figuring out whether to go to the BOYS room or the GIRLS room in schools as well as some parents willing to allow the state to raise their child,
Yeah, it's all taking their minds off of being WHO THEY ARE...children.
I might have to do a post about toys - then and now before the holiday.
*** Last back to the clothes hamper...remember that thing about life being "complex"?
Sounds pretty STRAIGHT-FORWARD.
Well, apparently we no longer wait for adulthood to start the confusion, do we?
Seems it's better to indoctrinate the CHILDREN at earlier ages - get them befuddled (thanks to developing minds) with enough PC-BS and manufactured tripe, that they have no place to go but where the powers that be wish to lead them.
Try growing a BACKBONE.
Not exactly the BEST way to grow a society, is it?
And certainly not a good way to maintain a moral and proper society.
Better to set children at ODDS with their parents through rewriting history, turning facts into ambiguities, and retail marketing, because they just HAVE to have the latest "gimmick", right?
Get them used to being "distracted", so they can grow up and be even MORE distracted as adults - perfect. A malleable society pre-made since damn near infancy.
Hey, I was a child once, and we were told the truth and the facts. Moreover, we were also told that it was important TO TELL THE TRUTH (lest one get caught in a lie).
WTH ever happened to THAT principle, hmm?
Got tossed out with the bath water?
There needs to be a return to what we called TRADITIONAL values and principles. It never hurt anyone, bypassed a lot of unnecessary confusion, and made us all stronger individuals in the process.
And at THIS time of year, that should be something we can all "hang our hats" on, because, if for no other reason...we need it.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Outside of Rosa, that might have been the dumbest set of days I've seen yet. They couldn't have just combined the apple day and the pie day and had you eat an apple pie? So wasteful.

"Well, they could all STOP SHOOTING THE SHIT for a few weeks...just shut the hell up..." No kidding.

So far today, I see Obama told Paris that mass shootings happen only in the US of A, and learned his jet trip over ran up CO2 emissions as much as 72 cars (virgins excluded) for a year. Or, as I told Al Penwasser, "On the bright side, the 'is he pure evil or just incredibly stupid' contest has a winner."

Yeah, the island thing never made sense to me. Why bitch about rising tides when the next typhoon will swamp you anyway? And the next tsunami... the next time the Pacific Life whale poses...

Santa has my Christmas list- featuring either a small humidifier for me and Scrappy or Abby Sciuto's farting hippo. I had the "My Pillow" on there, but at $100 for two, ah, no.

"Hey, I was a child once, and we were told the truth and the facts." Reminds me of a convo I had with my Mom at about 8 or 9 years old:

Me: Is there life on other planets?"
Her: "No."
"How do you know?"
"It's in the Bible."
"Where?"
"IT JUST IS!"

Now take care...you're being a might EFFICIENT w/ the apple and pie thing...LOL.

Had a feeling you'd LIKE that part.

He's so full of shit, his eyes are BROWN...HA!

Islands are formed by underwater volcanic activity (mostly say the SCIENCE and DISCOVERY channels), so it stands to reason that type of rock COULD shift at the ocean's bottom...islands are nice to VISIT...not live upon.
(Australia being an exception, I guess)

What?
No Doctor Who books on that list?
$100 for MY PILLOWS?
((yikes!))
Suppose I'll pass on that one as well.

LOL...love that talk you had w/ Mom.
(at least she probably got you to LOOK for it...heh)

Thanks for swinging on by to comment today.

Stay safe up there, brother.

OMG. Quit putting that long list of shots fired up just to impress us. :) Have a safe and happy day!

I wish that list were a LOT smaller, but we've got our bumper-crop of morons roaming about with ill-gotten firearms.
And the day with the MOST of them was THANKSGIVING.

Funny, when I give thanks, I don't go outside and cap off a mag of rounds.
We'll keep our heads down anyway.

Thanks for rolling up to comment.

Stay safe down ther, dear.
