Tuesday Tidbits...
Well, here's hoping that today is less problematic than yesterday around the "Fortress". I hope yours was better.
Nothing like starting a week with a "Monday from Hell", is there? We'll get into that shortly.
We've some interesting things staring at us today from the abyss.
Our Hoosierland weather will consist of mostly cloudy skies, temps reaching to around 56 degrees and no real precipitation for the time being. Well, you can't have everything.
So, let's get that morning cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa made and parked close by, as we see what else is going on, shall we?
*** First out of the junk drawer is our "What the hell happens today, Bob?" feature:
MARCH 28 -
---It's National Black Forest Cake Day
(well, there's a positive note)
---It's National Something On A Stick Day
(do heads on pikes count?)
---It's National Weed Appreciation Day
(cripes, that's one of the LAST things I appreciate...and dread every year)
---It's National American Diabetes Association Alert Day
(okay, that explains itself, doesn't it?)
*** Next up, and because it IS a Tuesday, let's see all the crime that took place last week that we SHOULD have been made aware of, but were not.

===========================
FIREWORKS CALLS 03/20 - 03/26 - NONE.
===========================
Wow, I can hardly believe that.
*** Next, we have a double shooting - suicide that took place last evening. Here's the story:
http://wane.com/2017/03/27/shooting-leaves-one-person-dead-on-east-side/
Seems that 2 women were shot in an SUV around 2100 hrs in the 900 block of Kensington Ave. Police found one dead and the other died at hospital shortly after.
Police were led to a male suspect in a house on Pemberton (one block east) and after trying to contact the man, made entry and found him dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Look for this to be homicides number 5 and 6.
*** Next, a former perp (featured here, naturally) gets arrested once AGAIN. Here's the story:
http://www.wpta21.com/story/35003495/man-arrested-after-police-chase-ends-with-ramming-police-car
Whatta Loser.
Christopher L. Norris, once charged with a shooting back in 2011 and convicted ONLY of "aggravated battery" has been busted again...and hopefully the prosecutor can find this piece of crap a nice LONG stay in jail for a change,
Feel free to reference my archive post of 12 July 2011 for that story.
This time, after a police chase, where the perp (driving a 2007 maroon Mustang) backed INTO a patrol cruiser, police took Norris into custody (he has a history of resisting), and found a loaded and charged AK-style "pistol" on the seat of the car he was driving. He also has a history of carrying firearms without permits and being a felon in possession of firearms.
That's some serious firepower he was packing., Had a 100-round snail drum magazine and is a 7.65 mm cartridge.
*** Next up, the Bowser buildings get the heave-ho. Here's the story link:
http://wane.com/2017/03/27/owner-redeveloping-old-fwpd-hq-not-possible/
Yeah, amazing how old buildings on the SE side are unable to be "re-purposed", but you can take similar structures elsewhere in the city and redevelop THOSE. Must be all the CRIME that's a major deterrent, right?
(concerned residents like myself know the truth that rarely is forthcoming)
*** Next up, remember the loudass TRIKEY-BOY from last year?
Last year's model
Well, the old disrespectful jerkoff is BACK with his velocipede, complete with booster speakers to annoy the shit out of normal folks with volume that can be heard a BLOCK AWAY.
Looks like a new (loud) set of wheels.
He came by our house FOUR DAMN TIMES yesterday, and no amount of laser beams or spotlight illumination quelled the noise he was producing.
I'm trying to find someone I can contact in the city who can get him to turn that the hell down. I can't hear our TV inside our house, and he sure as hell can't hear any car coming up on him, even if he has rear-view mirrors on his trike.
He's a nuisance as long as that music can be heard in excess of 30 feet, and he runs the risk of getting hit by a speeding vehicle (with such assholes around here, I can only hope). Yeah, that's not nice to say, but a lesson has to be learned, and maybe he'll learn it the HARD way.
*** Next up, and if that wasn't enough to screw up an otherwise calm day, Wifey lost a contact lens in the damn bathroom right before bedtime.
I helped look for it, and we found in ONCE, but she promptly lost it again, when it popped off her finger. Where it went after that is anyone's guess. Didn't go down the drain (it had the plug in already), and we checked the vanity top, floor, anywhere it could have flown, jumped, or fallen. The cats came in, and if it stuck to their foot pads, it could have wound up anyplace by now.
Well, to that I say next time, have a SPARE pair...just in case (like I have with my glasses).
*** Next, and speaking of our cats, let's drop by "Kitten Corner"...
"I'm looking for birdies, daddy".
The kids were in fine form, and I mean that in a good way. They were good as gold most all day.
Waiting for "mommy" to come home.
As for their excursion into the bathroom later on, could not be avoided, and I don't blame them if they managed to carry that contact lens off to some other part of the house. I just hope no one swallowed it. That wouldn't be good at all.
*** Last back to the family room...I admit that I don't want any sort of "exciting life".
In fact, if things got boring, that (to me) would be a godsend.
I guess the old acronym K.I.S.S. works well here (Keep It Simple, Stupid...lol).
Today's "drama".
If there is one thing I'm sick and tired of, it's DRAMA, and that's odd for me to say, because I was a drama major in high school (totally different type of drama, however).
I'm one of those "home-bodies" that enjoys the comfort of being at home most of the time.
So, you can imagine how bothersome it is when I can't seem to ENJOY "Homestead Heights".
When total assholes have nothing to do but annoy the hell out of people like me, and for no damn reason, other than they CAN get away with it, I have a problem with that.
Trying my damnedest.
When the only comfort I can find is when I manage to fall asleep (with a gun close by) for a few hours, there's something wrong, and certainly not with me.
The people that I mention here, who cause problems in our part of the city are the ones to blame.
I'm just trying to live MY life, and not be set upon by the lives of others that are a constant intrusion.
So, if I go on a rant about these lowlife, son of a bitch scum-baggers now and then, know that it is with  a GOOD reason.
And, if people choose to ignore reason, they have already lost a big part of their lives.
I don't plan to follow suit.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Weed appreciation? Who sponsored that one, Roundup?

Time to pack up the lasers and use your brand new power washer...

...or a sniper bullet into the speakers. That might be quicker.

I despise contacts for just that reason. Nuff said.

Chris:'
---Truth be told (as it always is here), this is fast becoming a daily "routine".
And THAT, my friend is a very sad commentary on what passes for the human condition down here (other than that which can be found within OUR four walls).
---The daily edification consists of the (new) motto:
"If it's not ONE damn thing,...it's ANOTHER!"
Like to avoid SOME of those things, but the human flotsam doesn't see their way clear of allowing that to happen.
Pretty sad, indeed.

STILL, there IS hope (and trust in the Almighty).
Just not much else.
(must be a Spring-funk I'm having)

Hey, thanks for stopping on by today to comment.

Stay safe (and very UN-PC) up there, brother.
