Tuesday Tidbits...
We start the day with a bit of rain, which will be greening things up well enough.
(it will also mean lawn mowing time is right around the corner, too...crap!)
You might want to take a little more care driving out there, because road conditions might NOT be as ideal as those who aren't paying attention think it is. And take an umbrella, what the hell, right?
Our Hoosierland weather for today bring us more rain,  cloudy skies, temps reaching to around 58 degrees, and breezy conditions.
So, let's start the ball rolling with a nice refreshing morning beverage, as we se what else has been going on...
*** First out of the rain barrel is our "What the hell happens today, Bob?" feature:
APRIL 24 -
---It's National Pigs In A Blanket Day
(never was a big fan of these...don't know why)
---It's National Teach Children To Save Day
(You'd be surprised at how LITTLE millennials are saving for THEIR future)
*** Next, and since it's once again a Tuesday, let's look at all the FWPD calls we never heard about because the media sources didn't think we should KNOW about them...

FIREWORKS CALLS - APR 16 - APR 22:
NONE? AMAZING!
*** Next, DNA evidence comes to the rescue and helps nab a homicide suspect. Here's the story:
http://www.journalgazette.net/news/local/police-fire/20180421/suspect-charged-in-december-homicide
They get dumber looking every week.
(( Bryan Flowers, (aka "D-Low") 34, of the 3200 block of Oliver Street, was charged with murder Friday with an enhanced charge of using a firearm in the commission of an offense, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Police located Flowers, and he is being held at the Allen County Jail without bond, according to a jail spokesman.))
Funny thing, they caught him over at Eden Green..I mean "The Villages at Hanna".
*** Next, a Berger Dairy store suffers an armed robbery. Here's the link:
http://www.news-sentinel.com/news/local-news/2018/04/23/berger-dairy-on-st-joseph-boulevard-reports-armed-robbery/
This took place Friday night around 2134 hrs at the Berger Dairy located at 1450 St. Joseph Blvd.
The suspect is a white male (for a change).
An  employee said the gunman had light-colored eyes and was about 5-foot, 7 inches tall. A witness gave the same suspect description.
Now THAT'S a reason to get a subpoena served (for that witness)..
*** Next up, yes, those gas prices keep inching upward. Here's the latest:
http://www.wane.com/news/national-world/oil-prices-surge-gas-prices-going-up/1135442976
States with the highest average gasoline prices: California ($3.56), Hawaii ($3.54), Washington ($3.22), Alaska ($3.20), Nevada ($3.17), Oregon ($3.12), Utah ($3.06), Idaho ($3.00), Pennsylvania ($2.97) and Connecticut ($2.88).
Indiana's not that far behind. Last week, we paid $2.75 per gallon.
Gas prices are likely to continue rising in much of the country over the next week as retail prices catch up to last week's rise in the price of oil. (just what we need...and expected, hmm?)
*** Next, it's time to stop on by our "Kitten Corner"...
The kids were pretty good until Wifey got back...then they started in with the manic behavior.
Call him MISTER "Overwatch".
It's like they need her around to act crazy (because I don't take to that as much and let them know it). Still, they calmed back down soon enough and things were back to normal (or as close to is as we can get around here...lol).
I iz all wrestled out!
They even spent some time wrestling with one another - sorry, no pictures of that, unless you like everything blurry.
*** Next up, it's time we check in with "Midnight and Company"...
Why YES...you ARE still cute.
It was great to see BOTH of our furry twosome back at the patio door when it ws time to eat.
And, as a special treat, they got wet food, which was eagerly devoured.
After Wifey got back, and for their dinner, we took out small vanilla cupcakes to celebrate the first anniversary of Midnight becoming a "guest" at our house.
Happy 1st Anniversary, Buddy.
After a couple licks of icing, he was done, and Whiskers acted the same. Apparently, they prefer CHICKEN flavored treats to sweet cupcakes, but that's okay. I think they know we meant well. They both got some bagged treats as well.
*** Last back to the downspout...still nothing new to report on the "subpoena" gig, which mean by this time next week,
I'll be getting ready for this soire` downtown to do I have no idea what.
I know it's an election year, and maybe the prosecutor's office wants to look good , but I have no vested interest in this case, other than the fact that the punk drove over our lawn, and I took a couple pictures. That's ALL.
I can't ID the suspect, and the car looked generic enough, so there is nothing I feel I can contribute that will help EITHER side of this car theft case. The police did the work, caught the perp, and take the credit...simple as that.
They'll find this out come next week when they discover how they wasted my time over this.
And maybe that's the lesson to be learned here (by them)...
Better to follow up on all the UNSOLVED homicides in this city, and stop badgering those who can't help your case.
Yeah...some lessons need to be taught (and learned) the hard way.
Be well, make a difference to someone , and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Pigs: Not a blanket fan, either...

On the bright side, I have dark eyes... not a suspect!

I wonder how high Cali's prices will be when they declare independence in a couple years...

I watched the video last night... you should invite Scrappy to these things if you want those cupcakes gone... Hmm, maybe not the best of ideas...

You should testify that the suspect was a white male, going gray, with a mousey moustache and wearing a "It's good to be King Tom" t-shirt...

Chris:
---I like bacon, I like cops, and I like blankets (in winter).
I make a point to NEVER mix them in any way.
---I would never cast aspersions you way, my friend.
---They'll all be driving ELECTRIC by then (via solar and wind energy). We'll see how "far" that gets 'em.
---I didn't see the video (but was in it)...go figure.
I can ALWAYS save him one (as long as they don't go stale).
---ROFL...man, I love that one.
Couldn't find his "parking spot"?
(can't toss a contempt charge at me with a line like THAT...can they?)

Thanks for dropping by and commenting.

Stay safe up there, brother.
