Tuesday Tidbits...

Today will be a study in contrasts (uh, oh), as we start off with below freezing temps and then wind up with milder conditions.
Later this week will become even more screwed up as we go from those mild temps back down into another deep freeze. And there will be RAIN tossed in, just to make things "exciting". Sounds like FUN, doesn't it? (no...it does not).
Our Hoosierland weather for today will bring us  cold conditions with partly sunny skies for starters, but temps will rise to around 36 degrees (well, something will melt). Increasing clouds roll in before the rain begins later tonight and into tomorrow.
Like I say - welcome to Indiana weather.

In the meantime, let's get that comforting cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa, as we see what else has been going on...

This took place around 1130 hrs in the 700 block of Cottage Av., across from South Wayne Elementary School two blocks east of Broadway..
A male was shot in the side and taken to hospital in serious condition.
As usual, there are no witnesses and therefore, no suspects.

The kids had a good day, and that means I had a good day...marvelous how that works.
The two of them ate, they slept, they played a bit, they got their heads and bellies rubbed,,,how can that NOT be a great lifestyle?

Our furry (but not frozen) twosome did well in the extreme cold.
Midnight chose to be around most all day. He got his 3 meals but disappeared for treats-time. very weird.

Whiskers got TWO meals (she missed lunch (taking after her "partner"), but WAS here for treats-time.
As could be expected, no one showed up for back step treats (and I was glad...it was too damn cold after the sun set).
*** Last back to the wigwam...I've been following that story about the Native-American, the Black Jewish Israelites and the Catholic School kids in D.C,, 

And I have to say that the lame-stream media didn't just shoot themselves in the foot, they blew their leg off at the knee.
As usual, most all of them took a portion of the video that was taken, ran with it, and once again portrayed young white (no doubt "privileged") males (with M.A.G.A. hats, I might add) as the (evil) antagonists, when in fact, they did something that MLK would have done...they did nothing (aside from singing some school spirit songs).

Now, there are those in the drive-bys that "insist" the boys were to blame for the confrontation, but this is actually a non-story, Glenn Beck had one of the chaperones on air yesterday, and I can think of no one MORE qualified to speak about what REALLY happened (which was nothing on the part of the young men).
Hell, the Covington, KY school even tossed the kids under the bus...and THEN, had to walk back the whole things.

Same thing with actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who PUBLICLY APOLOGIZED for her "snap judgment". Don't hold your breath for media source to do likewise.
See, people need to STOP listening to news snippets, sound bites, political correctness, and other forms of social media BS designed ONLY to divide us further.
We need to take the time to find the WHOLE story, whatever it is, and disseminate the truth - to "separate the wheat from the chaff", as it were,

Doing THAT leads to knowledge, and with knowledge (properly applied) comes wisdom.
Anything else (or less) is mere folly.
And, seriously...don't we already have ENOUGH of that going around?
