Humpday Happenings...

Our nice weather continues today, but there is a change in the air a'comin'...by tomorrow.
The good news is that it's not snow.
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us partly cloudy skies (or partly sunny - your choice), with an increase of those clouds as the day comes to an end later on.
Temps will top out around the 60 degree mark, and no winds to speak of.

So, with that dispensed with, let's get that comforting drink poured and parked nearby, as we see what else has been happening...

Can't say I find this quote/question NOT important in today's America...and why aren't more of us asking it?

This took place the night of 1 April, and ended at a house that was hit by a stolen car at Reed St. and Pontiac (yep, that's the ghettohood).
Two juveniles bailed,. but were caught a short time after.
These car thieves are getting younger, aren't they? Guess wanting t stay in school wasn't an option for these two (who are MOST likely black).

This took place at Phil's One Stop at 2607 Goshen Ave, around 2300 hrs Saturday night, where a male black took a gas station attendant hostage at knife-point, and brought her back to his apartment. Ronnie McKinney, 57 is the perp being charged.

The woman managed to get away, contact police and get McKinney arrested.
The father of the perp said "I'm surprised, He broke my heart. I've always told him to be responsible and do right. I didn't think anything like this would ever happen."
Yeah, well, when you allow your (middle-aged) son to get SO damn drunk he wants to act like the criminal he has become, what can you expect? How's about we get these animals OFF our street to avoid such situations like this, hmm?
Personally, I think this person has mental issues, and should get an evaluation. He was living in a barn-apartment behind his Dad's house.Dad didn't want him in the house?

This was the Harrison St. dead male found Monday.

Darius McMorris of Chicago died from gunshot wounds.

Now, I wonder what this guy was doing here in Fort Wayne and why(or how) did he run afoul of someone? Any bets he already has a rap sheet from Chi-town?

The kids found out hiw to get back into trouble yesterday. Wifey was doing sosme work at home, and the kids came running through, pulling the cord from the outlet for her laptop.
Good thing it didn't come of of the table.

Dunno what got into them, but it was "let's see how fast we can run through the house" for about a half hour...and then, it wa like nothing ever happened. At least nothing got broken.

Our furry twosome seemed to have a decent day, after the morning chill wore off and the sun came up.
They were both here for all three meals, but when it came to after dinner treats,Midnight was there, but Whiskers was MIA.

"Well...she's not hiding in the fire pit."

Where she went was anyone's guess. She was there not more than a half hour before I went to give them treats...very strange, but she's back this morning.
*** Last back to the medicine chest... what passes for our neighborhood always seems to be in a state of change (not for the better).

And yesterday, I decided to help that along. I dropped a couple dimes to parking control to rid us of various vehicles that have been ignored by their "owners".

Sure, just leave it there.

Oops, left it there too long...lol.

One SUV broke down one block over and after a call, it was towed away, which should surprise the hell outta the owner if they come back and see it gone.

Some vehicles sit for WEEKS, if not months.

Two other vehicles down the street were "red-tagged" by Parking Control (nice new crossovers they're driving these days, thanks to the taxpayers).
And, we have the person across the street from us who just moved out. The start of any month is the time for that around here.

Don't forget to ghetto up the curb with trash.

A shame, because out of ALL the idiots around here, she was less of a problem than most everyone else.
I'm betting that this Latina will be replaced with another. That seems to eb the case with these rentals...no race-crossing allowed.

Yep, it's kinds like THAT.

Funny thing, the more the government TRIES tio integrate people into areas, the more those people tend to SEGREGATE THEMSELVES...and this is called "progress"?
Sorry...not seeing it. But ti does help to bring down the values of whatever neighborhoods such tactics are permitted.
I'd love to see that kind of stuff (and the people behind it) just go away.
