Monday Musings...
A brand new month...with (most likely) a LOT of the same old sh..."stuff".
Love that snow we had...(not). Always nice to see Mother Nature toss out a curve-ball once in awhile (also, not).
If you think this will be a brief post...APRIL FOOL, It's gonna be a rather lengthy one (sorry about that).
We had a fair amount of stuff going on, so bear with me and enjoy the ride.
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us mostly sunny skies, changing over to partly cloudy later on, temps will be climbing back above freezing to around 44 degrees, and no precipitation for the time being.
Now, let's get ourselves a nice hot cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa to chase the chill away, as we see what else has been going on...
*** First out of the fridge is our "What the hell happens today, Bob?" feature:
APRIL 1 -
---It's April Fool's Day
(bet we couldn't figure THAT one out)
---It's National One Cent Day
(which won't get you any candy like it USED to when I was a child...a shame.)
---It's National Sourdough Bread Day
(sure, why not?)
*** Next, we DO start a new month today, and that means we get to find out what we can observe over course of the month, so here goes...
APRIL is:
National Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Month
English Language Month
National Month of Hope
National Canine Fitness Month
National Internship Awareness Month
Distracted Driving Awareness Month
National Child Abuse Awareness Month
National Donate Life Awareness Month
National Cannabis Awareness Month
National Fair Housing Month
Month of the Military Child
Keep America Beautiful Month  (try telling the "locals")
National Autism Awareness Month
National Couple Appreciation Month
National Decorating Month
National Fresh Celery Month
National Garden Month (don' remind me)
National Humor Month
National Jazz Appreciation Month
National Soft Pretzel Month (nothing like a PHILLY one)
National Soy Foods Month
National Straw Hat Month
National Parkinson’s Awareness Month
National Poetry Month
National Pecan Month
National Volunteer Month
National Welding Month
Scottish-American Heritage Month
Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Stress Awareness Month (a yearly gig for me)
National Safe Digging Month
There you are...lots to do and 30 days to do it. Have at it.
*** Next up, some seem to think that being Caucasian is causing more climate change. When you stop laughing and get up from the floor, here's the story:
https://nypost.com/2019/03/28/white-peoples-diets-are-killing-the-environment-study/
I heard this referenced on Rush's show Friday and HAD to look into this.
Guess all those minority (and government-sponsored) daily cookouts have nothing at ALL to do with this, right?
Same goes for ALL the big-ass SUVs they drive.
Looks like our FIRST "W-T-F???" moment of the month...already!
*** Next, it looks like another black male who couldn't seem to keep his junk in his (saggy) drawers got caught...at last.
Here's the story:
https://www.wane.com/news/local-news/police-serial-rapist-arrested-through-fingerprint-match/1886307710
Marquise Donta Dozier is the loser in question. Aside from the rapes, he also had (2015) citations for false vehicle registration and no financial responsibility (in other words, TNB).
Addresses were listed as  4418 Winter St , Fort Wayne, IN 46806 and 7010 Autumn View Dr ,Fort Wayne, IN 46816. We ALL know what his CURRENT (and future) address is, right?
*** Next up, and here's even MORE good news:
https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndin/pr/three-indicted-fort-wayne-hobbsarmed-robbery-related-offenses
Police have caught the robbers who hit B&H Firearms and a T-Mobile store back in December.
Quran Waterford (Bloomington, IN), Gary McCaleb (Harvey, IL) and Mandell Strawter ( 6015 Southcrest Rd  Fort Wayne, IN 46816) were charged.
 Waterford                McCaleb                Strawter
Oh...WOW, they're ALL male blacks (big surprise there, huh?).
And the charges come down from a FEDERAL indictment regarding the Hobbs Act (look that up).. Man, I love happy endings.!
*** Next, and speaking of happy endings...police have arrested two MORE assholes. Here's the story:
www.journalgazette.net/news/local/police-fire/20190330/guns-drugs-child-found-during-police-raid
((Maria Lopez Saldana, 23, of the 500 block of Larch Lane, which is up north near the I-469 interchange,, and Dylan G. Pattison, 27, of the 6500 block of Covington Road, which is west out at the Colony Bay Apartments, were charged with four counts of dealing drugs including cocaine, narcotics, marijuana and hashish oil and another felony charge for neglect of a dependent.))
And the place was a veritable "Sam's Club" of drugs including LSD and ecstasy.. But wait, it gets even better.
Pattison                    Saldana
((The woman of the couple was related to a man wanted on felony drug-dealing charges and was hiding out in Mexico to avoid arrest. The man in Mexico had drug cartel connections with Los Zetas and MS-13, both Latino gangs. He was buying bales of marijuana, bricks of cocaine and pounds of methamphetamine and then shipping the drugs to Fort Wayne, where the couple would distribute them, court records said.)) How about that? Still want to have these (obviously not properly vetted) people coming across our border, legal or otherwise?
*** Next up, let's stop on by our "Kitten Corner"...
"I iz helping with the groceries."
Our kids did just fine over the weekend, and I'm sure they were both glad they were not outside in that snow we got.
Had some "lap time" with Violet, who behaved like the lady she is (even if my leg fell asleep quicker than she did...lol).
He's not asleep. He just looks that way.
Gallifrey just climbs up and rubs his head over you (while you're trying to get a drink).
At least they found time to busy themselves
*** Next, let's do our check in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...
"Hi there...time to eat again, right?"
Our furry twosome didn't much seem to like that snow, and who can blame them. They both stayed by most all weekend, and that's okay with us.
"Yes it is...come and get it."
Saturday wasn't much fun with the rain we had, and Sunday  was just cold, so there was not AS much time with the two of them, as I would have preferred, but they were both there for all the meals.
And getting some (room temperature) wet food Saturday and Sunday was a welcome relief (and filled two hungry feline bellies.
*** Last back to the stovetop...whoever comes u with these stupid-ass studies needs to find a life...seriously.
These are a perfect example of what I spoke of last week - opinions versus facts.
And when you create facts to suit your opinion, well that's downright lying to the masses.
A lot more people used to be able to see right through such nonsense, and yet, we have more people buying into this crap.
It's been proven that when you tell a lie long enough, you can manipulate people much easier.
What ever happened to putting the truth out here, and letting people make up their OWN minds?
Have we become THAT sheep-like? God, I sure hope not.
I'd hate to see another "dark ages" come around, especially if it's fostered by our technology and social media.
Time will tell, as it always does.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Great stuff.

Nat'l penny day is one I will enjoy. I have a resolution to pick up pennies from now on, just to see how many I can find.

Another blogger keeps a record of how many she has found over time.

I will be sharing how white people are again guilty of everything site address.

---I had a penny collection that my Dad and I worked on ages ago. I have got to look and see if I still have it someplace.
---Had a LOT of the wheat pennies going back to before WW2.
---Yeah, we are all guilty of SO much these days...it's ridiculous, isn't it?
I'm guilty of just GETTING UP every day...LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Be well out there.

IDK about this weather forecast. KC just told me it was 75- of course, he's in Biloxi right now...

It's also Northeast Fort Wayne Apartment complex near old folks home Pizza day....

Scrappy denies Canine fitness month. Too much pressure on him.

NYPost: WTF is "Latinx"? And get yer hands off'n my meat and taters, snowflake...

Back in high school, we used to think up proper punishments for rapists like Dozey. Many involved corkscrews and meat grinders, hedge clippers, bush hogs, etc...

I'm thinking Strawter might just be contributing to the white mans global warming thing...

Drugs: Thinking rape punishments might work there, too...

Grocery bag pic! EXCELLENT:

---KC is right...for WHERE HE IS...!
---Is it really? I had no freaking idea!
---LOL...and here I thought you and Scrappy were each other's role models when it came to fitness (like I should talk).
---I know Strawter sure seems like a boil on society's posterior!
---Yes, those could work quite well...all we need is someone with the brass ones to implement it.
---That better be a good pic...took FIVE tries before she, the bag and my camera were on the same page!
Patience IS a virtue.
Oh, yeah...we know full well about THAT kind of "science".
---Thirty seconds?
I thought that only applied with reel-to-reel tape recorders?
Simon Pegg is NOT sending me all my memos!

Hey, thanks for dropping by to comment.

Stay safe (and liking the nice weather) up there, brother.
