Friday Follies...

Believe it or not, we FINALLY get a bit of a break in all the rainy weather...imagine that!
But, that doesn't mean we won't see rain for a while...it's coming back soon enough, so don't stow the umbrellas just yet.
(gee, and I was getting used to having swelled sinuses and aching joints from all the humidity)
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us mostly cloudy skies, temps reaching only into the lower 60s, and no rain in the immediate forecast (could be some later this evening into the overnight hours).
There is some fog out there this morning, so please take care driving.

Now, let's do ourselves a service and get that cup, glass or mug of Friday Fortitude poured and parked nearby, as we see what else has been going on...

It's quite revealing and shows the REAL history rather than today's "revisionist" take.
The scary part to this is that it's taking place right NOW...in OUR country. And if we're not careful, we'll be in a world of hurt.

I don't think the city REALLY wants to hear from people like ME, and for good reason - I've seen (up close and personal) what HUD has done to MY quadrant of the city over 22 years, and I can assure you all that it's NOT a pretty picture AT ALL.

I'd like to see HUD defunded and disbanded...period.

Once again, our kids had a relatively lackluster day, and by that I mean not much to see, except the rain which was off and on.

Thankfully, Gallifrey has plenty of windows to keep him amused. Violet just takes it easier, and finds a comfy spot to nap the day way. There are times when I do envy their lifestyles.

"I think I felt some raindrops."

Our furry twosome caught a bit of luck with the rain. We started out in the open when breakfast came along, but had to retreat under the patio table.

"I think you're right. Gotta eat faster."

Both of them took a break at lunch, and neither one showed up, but by dinner, both wee back for their grub, which (again) we had to do under the table.

Oh yes, the treats are coming.

The back step treats seemed to have moved from evenings to early mornings, too. Hey, whatever works for these cute cats also works for me.
*** Last back to the Rebel Base...actor Peter Mayhew passed away at the age of 74 this week. Here is his WIKI:

Yes, he was Han Solo's sidekick (Chewbacca) in the first Star Wars movies, and Wifey and I actually met him once (guess that autographed pic just went up in value, too). Not bad for a career that was mostly made up of portraying a 7-ft tall "fuzzball".
He was a very affable person, as was the late Kenny Baker (who we also met).
Yes, life goes on, things change, and we get to see it unfold. Hopefully, we can enjoy the journey.
Change does seem to always come with a price, whether that change is good OR bad.
May we be up to the challenge to accept and adapt to the good change, avoid much, if not all of the bad change and always be able to distinguish between the two. Sounds like a plan, right?
