But, that doesn't mean we won't see rain for a while...it's coming back soon enough, so don't stow the umbrellas just yet.
(gee, and I was getting used to having swelled sinuses and aching joints from all the humidity)
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us mostly cloudy skies, temps reaching only into the lower 60s, and no rain in the immediate forecast (could be some later this evening into the overnight hours).
There is some fog out there this morning, so please take care driving.
Now, let's do ourselves a service and get that cup, glass or mug of Friday Fortitude poured and parked nearby, as we see what else has been going on...
*** First off of the deluged farm fields is our "What the hell happens today, Bob?" feature:

National Raspberry Pop Over Day
(sounds like breakfast to me)

Cripes, that's a ton of stuff, but plenty to keep you busy. Just remember t always observe responsibly.
*** Next up, the other night, Glenn Beck had a powerful program on Socialism (You tube)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpkq2eCpRe0
Tell you what...he's done his homework...all WE have to do is OUR own.
It's quite revealing and shows the REAL history rather than today's "revisionist" take.
The scary part to this is that it's taking place right NOW...in OUR country. And if we're not careful, we'll be in a world of hurt.
*** Next...so, the city wants to hear from "me" (read us) on how it plans to spend HUD money?
No, you really DON'T. |
https://wpta21.com/news/top-stories/2019/05/02/city-leaders-to-present-annual-hud-action-plan/
Worked in Detroit, didn't it? |
I'd like to see HUD defunded and disbanded...period.
*** Next up, time to drop by our "Kitten Corner"...
"I believe it's time to nap again." |
"Beat 'ya to it." |
*** Next, let's check in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...
"I think I felt some raindrops." |
"I think you're right. Gotta eat faster." |
Oh yes, the treats are coming. |
*** Last back to the Rebel Base...actor Peter Mayhew passed away at the age of 74 this week. Here is his WIKI:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Mayhew
Yes, he was Han Solo's sidekick (Chewbacca) in the first Star Wars movies, and Wifey and I actually met him once (guess that autographed pic just went up in value, too). Not bad for a career that was mostly made up of portraying a 7-ft tall "fuzzball".
He was a very affable person, as was the late Kenny Baker (who we also met).
Yes, life goes on, things change, and we get to see it unfold. Hopefully, we can enjoy the journey.
Change does seem to always come with a price, whether that change is good OR bad.
May we be up to the challenge to accept and adapt to the good change, avoid much, if not all of the bad change and always be able to distinguish between the two. Sounds like a plan, right?
Do have yourselves a good weekend.
Be well, make a difference to someone today, and as always...
Stay SAFE out there, America.
See 'ya next week.

God, today sucked... but after a 3 hour nap... no, still sucks. Now I get to watch my Isles finish getting swept by Carolina...
I should be able to make a joke about what SAN Architect means, but the cupboard's bare... after THREE comments, lol!
"School Lunch Hero Day"? Does he have a force field to protect kids from food fights?
(Actually THAT I should have not laughed at. Didja hear abt the kid that died because a piece of cheese THROWN at him as a prank triggered his dairy allergy so bad it KILLED him?
"wonder what Chris is making this year?" Looking like, "a trip to the corner liquor store", lol!
Cinco de Mayo- means nada since I'm out of Arden...
HUD- Humanity Under Denial. See, not much there...
Okay, National anthem on, gotta go...
Chris:
---Maybe NOT watching the Isles lose to Carolina might have made the day suck a LITTLE less?
---I didn't even wanna touch the lunch hero thing...thought it was a sandwich deal.
---Kids today have so little regard and SO little immunity.
Never heard anything like that when we were in school (not that we tossed food around). Was better to EAT it than throw it.
We were taught the VALUE of stuff.
---Homebrew...that's a cheat, buster. You owe me one of YOUR "specialties".
---Only "mayo" I know is what I put on sandwiches (and the actress Virginia Mayo).
---I LOVE your acronym definition MUCH better.
Thanks for stopping down to comment.
Have a great weekend and sty safe (and healthier) up there, brother.
(we now return you to the last half hour of MARVEL'S THE AVENGERS on FX)
