NIPSCO To Raise Gas Prices:

No, no, no... we couldn't see THIS runaway freight train coming...could we? Seems our bills here in Indiana will likely RISE about 20 percent! Spokespeople for the utility company "say" it was because of last year's MILD WINTER.
I say WRONG answer..
(shame on you for thinking otherwise where I'm concerned).
Let's do some "math"... If "we" used LESS natural gas LAST winter, wouldn't there be a GLUT somewhere, as in a SURPLUS of gas? And would it not be prudent for the utility to BEST SERVE it's customers by AT LEAST keeping the rates at LAST YEAR'S levels, so we're lulled into a false sense of security and use MORE gas, thereby creating more revenue for the utility?
Nah...that makes too damn much sense...doesn't it?
Better to FLEECE us all NOW, while "the getting's good", so those CEOs can make their YACHT PAYMENTS and still afford that soiree' to the Bahamas later this year!

Now I don't know about YOU, but when I was a teenager (back in the Pleistocene Age), I had a LOT BETTER things to do that attend my school's football game and disrupt the event by parading around dressed AS...A...PENIS.

I've always said that people will judge you by the way you dress, and it looks like in THIS case (at least) the shoe fits pretty darn well. It's good to see one of Fort Wayne's finest have the cajones to grab the cajones by the cajones.

Makes a good case for teens suffering from "Arrested Development".

Yet another person has fallen victim to this recent trend in our "fair" city of someone knocking on a door, and when someone answers it, strong arms their way into the house and shoots someone. On the 4700 block of Bowser Street (in the beautiful SOUTH side of the city...where else?) a man was shot after just such an attempt early this morning at about 1:30 AM. Curiously enough, this ONLY seems to occur on (all together now)...THE SOUTH SIDE (very well done - everyone was in unison). And if it's not someone robbing or shooting someone while breaking in, it's deliverymen being accosted. Or it's banks being robbed (nice surveillance picture at the Clinton St. Wells Fargo, btw). So it never surprises me when people wonder WHY this part of town doesn't THRIVE. It's because of a little something called C-R-I-M-E. You kick crime in the ass, and this part of Fort Wayne WILL bounce back. but it's not like I'VE been saying that all this time, right?

Who Really Was Taken For A Ride? -
A Fort Wayne man told police he was robbed by a gunman who asked for a ride down Creighton Avenue. Stopped at a light around 1:40PM, the victim was approached by a man who asked "for a ride down the street". When the victim's car reached DeWald Street, the man pulled a black 9mm handgun saying "Give me your wallet". The man gave up the wallet which contained $80 and his Social Security card, according to the report. The man was described as being (all together gang...)..BLACK, bald, mid-30s, no facial hair, wearing a black shirt, black pants and white "tennis shoes" (on the way to the "courts"? - pun intended). Yeah, that describes about 90% of ALL the black males in this part of town, so I'm sure this guy will be REAL easy to nab.

Kinda makes you glad the week isn't EIGHT days long...doesn't it?
