Wow, another "busy" start to the weekend, complete with SO MUCH noteworthy happenings, one simply doesn't know where one should begin.
But, by the grace of our Maker, (and a wee bit of luck) we'll give it our best shot.
Can't ask for more than that, right?

Well, if you're like MOST (normal) people, you grab the paper, some coffee and get about seeing what happened in the news (or you MIGHT even read THIS blog...if so, good for you).
One person however in Fort Wayne, has come across something a "little different" when it comes to "rise and shine"...

A man Fort Wayne police believe may have been barricaded in a house with a gun for three hours surrendered this morning, police said.No one was injured and no charges have been filed in the incident, which remains under investigation, police said in a statement.
Police said they responded to an unknown problem in the area of East State Boulevard and Terrace Road about 4:15 a.m. They said they found there may have been a person armed with a gun in a home in the 100 block of East State, and there was a report he had fired a shot inside the home.
The man refused to speak with police at the scene, and the Emergency Services and Crisis Response teams were notified, the statement said. It said several attempts to contact the man received no response.
At 7:10 a.m. the man surrendered peacefully by leaving the home, police said.
They said he is being evaluated at a local hospital.))
Now I have to admit, that's not of the FIRST FIFTY things I prefer to do when I crawl out of the sack, but whatever works for ya, right?
And, YES...PLEASE EVALUATE this man...seems he's a "tetch" off kilter somewhere.

LOS ANGELES - The California Highway Patrol is calling a Southern California man a hero for rescuing a 3-year-old girl from a burning vehicle on a Los Angeles-area freeway.
John McDonald of West Covina was driving on Interstate 10 in El Monte Wednesday when he saw an overturned sports utility vehicle engulfed in flames.
Video footage shows him running to help as three people who escaped the burning SUV ran away. The CHP says the driver of the SUV shouted that her granddaughter was still inside, and McDonald went in to pull the girl out.
Both were treated for minor injuries.
McDonald told KABC-TV he jumped into action because he felt it was "something that needed to be done."
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Mr McDonald also said in another interview that "It was the RIGHT THING TO DO".))
West Covina's got some great people, (even for Californians), so my hat's OFF to this savior of the highway!

Now, first off, you KNOW this subject really burns my biscuits!
The system WORKED (and damn well) when it was initially instituted. But, after a time, a lot of (lazy) people got to LIKE this "alternate lifestyle", and therein was the REAL problem.
NO real measures were implemented to get these lowlifes OFF the dole and into some type of PRODUCTIVE venue.
It rapidly became a "role model" for all future "entitlement" programs across this nation...payed-in-full by YOU, the taxpayers who ARE busting your stones eking out a living, while "they" laugh down their food stamp book at you.
And to piss and moan about waiting in lines or holding on the damn phone...you, the LAZY recipients, (not the people who TRULY need this, lest they starve) are getting all this shit for FREE...so STFUS (shut the f*ck up, stupid) and LIVE with it.
Good luck to IBM...they're gonna NEED it.

Our President doesn't really WANT reparations...and, according to HIM, he feels that's ONLY because "They don't go far enough"...amazing, huh? Well, HE SAID IT, so it has to be true. WORDS are like BULLETS...once they leave the "muzzle" (your mouth) they can never get called back, can they? That's why a lot of people have this "mouth moving before brain is fully engaged" syndrome.

Think about it...all these "czars" with dubious backgrounds, and this PUSH to ram socialized health care down America's gullet.
Other nations wonder WTF is going on...and that should be sending up red flags (hopefully none with sickles and hammers) all over the place. Time to step back, people, and take a GOOD, HARD look at this "agenda" of the President.
It's gonna cost...and cost us BIG, and more ways than the almighty dollar!

But with ANY of the MSM channels, you're only getting ONE SIDE of the story (and, as we all know, every story has at least TWO sides to it). They are spinning this into a racial issue, and while the officer on scene happened to be white, I wonder if any "bias" by Professor gates would suddenly "change color" of the officer would have been BLACK. Gates would have most likely stopped seeing WHITE...and just started seeing BLUE (along with the "red" he was already seeing).
It's all about ragging on the police, these days...UNTIL someone that's been dissing them really NEEDS them...then, all becomes miraculously forgiven (until the situation is over, then it back to disdain once again).
Leave that rhetoric back in your 3rd world country, moron.
Or better yet, take a flight OVER there, and sign up with some rebel faction,. bent on causing ANOTHER century of turmoil and atrocities in your "native land", OK? We don't need that crap here...we've got enough problems to go around without worrying about OUR nation becoming like those in AFRICA (although by the look of SOME neighborhoods in SOME cities, we're pretty far down that road already...a "cultural thing"? Nah, can't be).
Lastly, we're seeing all those school sales about...time to "gear up" the kids for more learning.
In some areas, LVL III body armor might be required (if they make it that small).
Rest assured that your little ones will soon be back our of your hair, and hitting the books again.
And you can hope they'll have a future unlike the one being painted in Washington, D.C. these days.
