Friday Follies...
Welcome, friends to another weekend.
A well-deserved respite from the hectic last 5 days, hmm?
Let's get rolling with some of those "Things that make yo go "HUH?", shall we?
*** I don't know about you, but I know that when I wake up around 0500 hours, there's nothing I like BETTER (to do) than to go out and pick up a crapload of papers that have been strewn along the street (and property line)!
Yes, kids, going out into 25 degree air STILL manages to wake one up, no matter the age.
Someone had decided to toss out a notebook belonging to one BRIANNA FARR of Fort Wayne (from IPFW?).
There were algebra notes as well as a paper (copied) regarding the MPAA ratings for movies and the impact that drugs and alcohol have on the film industry (pretty heady stuff that she never got to read).
BTW, Brianna has her very OWN Facebook page...imagine that!
Here's the link:
http://www.facebook.com/brianna.farr1
Go ahead...make her YOUR "friend"...maybe you can clue her (and her friends) in on the nuances of LITTERING?
Oh, look, she attended Northrop H.S., and ALSO has had THREE addresses since 2007!
-- 1369 Fayette Dr, Ft. Wayne, IN
-- 15626 Smith Rd, Yoder, IN
-- 722 Prestwick Sq, Ft. Wayne, IN
AND...she's also had FIVE citations since 2007...for criminal misdemeanor (minor consumption & false informing), violation of child restraint laws, operating while suspended (expired plate), and disregarding an automated signal (running red lights).
I won't bother to cite the dates or court document numbers...I think you get the idea, though.
Wow...such a STELLAR citizen in our midst, don'cha think?
Betcha good money she knows the people in the drug crib down the street, or at least LIVES in my part of the ghettohood, within a 3-block radius (4th address?).
And I only bet on sure things.
Oh yes, I have my ways of finding things out...and that's why I maintain that *I* am one of the BEST "weapons" the FWPD can have down here, even if they don't take that much notice to the information I DO pass along to them. They SHOULD.
After all, I used to work for the FEDS, (among other things) remember?
Meanwhile, back at the taco stand...
*** I'm sure all of you MUST have seen the video from the Panama City BK.
You can't help but find it somewhere.
Here's one (of many) links to the video:
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/florida/meet-panama-city-bk-brawler-653092
Again, we have a display of animalistic behavior...a "scofflaw"...a person who is more than a few fries short of the proverbial "happy meal", and obviously does NOT know what BOUNDARIES are..
And she's doing what she does best...being loud and angry...and for no good reason, other than the fact that SHE (and others like her) CAN be.

Proof positive that some people really need to learn how to CONTROL THEMSELVES!
You read the story...you make the call.
But, I will say this...behavior like this has NO place in a CIVILIZED society, and certainly NOT in such a public venue.
That reminds me of a similar incident Wifey and I were witness to at the Southgate BK about TEN years ago.
A black man didn't like the way his burger was prepped (he wanted a FREEBIE - don't they ALL?) and argued with the manager.
Well, the kitchen help came out front (another black man) and they started to tussle.
We had a few chairs tossed, and luckily nothing came near US (we were eating our food like NORMAL people do).
The cook chased the perp outside where he got into a blue sedan and sped off.
I couldn't get the damn plate number, so we left when shortly afterward (took the police close to TEN minutes to arrive...back THEN).
Nice to know some things don't change all that much.
Yet, these "people" (read animals) are part of those poor, oppressed citizenry who have the government taking (very good) care of them...from cradle to grave, courtesy of the hard-working U.S. taxpayers of this country.
Reminds me of all my "neighbors"...(and JUST as disgusting).
Yes...your "tax dollars" at work, my friends.
But wait, there's MORE...
If you think the POLICE are immune to confrontations with one another...think again.
Here's the link to a disturbing story:
http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/local_news/cops-tussle-with-cops-on-camera
The suburban community officers of Colwyn and Darby (PA) are the participants, in which a jurisdictional dispute erupts.
Suffice it say, Darby, PA IS a minority cesspool...
I watched it decline for years...damn shame.
Seems we have a public safety "turf war" of sorts.
The Darby chief has had "problems" before.
Good relations always makes for good arrests, I always say.
Perhaps a "county-wide" force would be the way to go given budgetary issues.
And the LAST thing we need to see is officers pitted against ONE ANOTHER...not in THIS day and age.
After all, we don't want someone (Obama and cronies) to "...create a national police force"...do we?
Hey, the Prez said it first...I'm just repeating it.
LEOs out there...take care and be wary.
Lord knows you guys and gals have PUH-LENTY out there to fret about as it is...!
Hold on, we're not done yet, kids...
*** This video is yet ANOTHER case of teens running rampant in stores down in center-city Philly.
(caution - there may be unsuitable language)
http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2011/03/24/teens-arrested-for-fighting-in-center-city-store/
The area is close to where I used to work a long time ago...when it was a lot more CIVIL a place to wall through .
There was a similar incident where someone had been shot.
Now you tell me this world isn't running AMOK (and in a damn hurry, too)!
And yes, there is even MORE...
*** Planes land in D.C. with controller asleep.
Here's the link to a very good read on this:
http://www.wben.com/Planes-Land-In-DC-With-Controller-Asleep-in-Tower/9468458
This site even has the control tower "traffic" audio.
Now, I've been in a control tower or two in my day, and even at smaller airports, it was DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to only find ONE person "at the helm".
In large airports (like Reagan International) there is USUALLY a "group" of controllers, all doing specific things.
You have ONE person for GROUND TAXI and traffic clearance.
You have someone handling INBOUND flights...another handling OUTBOUND traffic, and sometimes, another person who deals with the "handoffs" to or from regional facilities.
The movies get it right, also...
You ALWAYS see a bunch of people handling air traffic control. That's just the way it works...or is supposed to.
Now, I don't know if the controller at Reagan was burned out (wouldn't surprise me...it IS a stressful position). I've known a controller, and he told me some interesting stuff about ATC. Differs a lot from the mil-ops and the FATCs.
But even on the graveyard shift, you DO NOT EVER have ONLY ONE person in the tower.
Whoever did that should be FIRED OUTRIGHT.
(the controller should be suspended with investigations and/or termination pending with a complete physical AND psyche evaluation)
That is procedurally WRONG...period!
Fortunately, a regional tower (as well as the on board technology of the planes) managed to get the two aircraft down without incident.
In other words, someone dodged a really BIG bullet.
FATE, it would seem was on the winning side...this time.
*** Finally today, in lieu of ALL this stuff (as well as what's happening in YOUR neck of the the woods), we have to be "on guard" it would appear more than EVER. And it doesn't have to be JUST in the realm of what transpires within our own homes.
We really NEED to be wary of situations ALL around us...
I know with all that's going on, it seems like another direction to be pulled, but THIS direction can often determine our true course. We can often handle what goes on INSIDE our homes...it's all the crap (and crappy people like those above) we have to watch for.
If it's not kids wild in the malls, it's fast food floozies with more attitude than brains, or even those predators that would seek to abscond with your child as they walk to school (like what happened here in Ft. Wayne yesterday morning, but was averted, thankfully).
It's this portion of our society that we CAN pray for (they surely need something), but we need to WATCH for even more intently.
WE are the watchmen, as it were...WE walk the bastions of civility...of reason. WE patrol the gates and walls of our (and our family's) lives.
And we also need to SPEAK UP when the need arises and the cause is JUST.
To be silent is a choice, just as much as it is to be vocal about what's gone wrong in the world.
Make the right choices today, and the results will follow you like a dear friend.
To do otherwise will take you down paths you need not travel.

Here ends the lesson.

Have yourselves a great weekend.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and as always...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Inspiration?
...you must be having a really GOOD day...ROFL!
(God bless 'ya, girl)

Probably was worth more PERSPIRATION after the po-po cited her sorry butt all those times!

Yeah, I don't have what you would call a "standard" keyboard...
Then again, I don't lead a standard life (down where we live).

It's always an "adventure".
(and not the E-ticket, Disneyland riverboat-ride kinda fun, either)

Joe Friday...never mussed up a perp, even PRE-Miranda...gotta love it!

Hey, thanks so much for taking time to roll on up and chat a spell.

Stay safe out there.
Have a fantastic weekend, too!

Always amazes me that dudes like the Darby PC can watch cops doing stupid crap like that on tv and never care that they are a caricature just like it.
Is that an elected post?

Too bad there aren't more cooks like that one you saw. As KC has told me many times, there are too many out there that only come into restaurants to bitch until they get free stuff. One or two times getting run out by the chef might change their ways.

Brianna got lucky that you found her stuff and not some ID thief. Of course, who'd want THAT ID?

Have a good weekend. Our nooner at work today is done, and its time for lunch, nap, and Time Machine, in roughly that order.

Yeah, you'd think the "5-0"m would figure that one out (by now).

Both Darby and Colwyn are REAL small towns (makes New Haven look HUGE), but the position is not an elected one like a Sheriff (here in Ft. Wayne), so I'd have to say it's an appointment.

Woulda been nice if the BK cook came out with a MEAT CLEAVER in his hands (spouting some obscure dialect)
- now THAT woulda solved a mess o' problems...lol)

Amazing what you find on your lawn, isn't it?
I should do a post of some of the more "interesting" items these beasts toss...(or check my archives to see if I already DID...lol)

And I DO believe that Fort Wayne DOES have an ACTIVE littering ordinance...(FWPD - take note)

I'll be waiting for your Time Machine, "Doc"...!
(88 MPH still works, right?)

You have yourselves a VERY nice weekend.
And thanks for stopping on by.
Stay safe up there.

I received a curious comment from an "anonymous" person who said that I have the "wrong Brianna"...
Well, tell the court system that, because THEY have their records wrong (for the past FOUR years).

And the YODER address could have been a bogus one...a lot of these people like to do that (and that's why schools have a hard time sending things HOME to the kids and parents)

THe commenter mentioned that they hate black people - that's painting people with a rather BROAD brush, don'cha think?
We have good AND bad of EVERY race (I just happen to live among a majority of the black bad ones), and "beating a person like that to a pulp", although it might even be deserved, doesn't make for a good reason to praise one's town.

I do appreciate the comment, though and I thank you for your thoughts.

I hope that clears stuff up.
