Another rather nice day today...didn't get the rain we were "promised" yesterday, though...
(fall back plan B - the garden hose).
But after tomorrow, we're "into the sauna" with temps going into the 90s!
(funny, didn't THINK it was JULY already).
A tad early for summer, yes?

Now, the interesting part to this is that back in 2007, Brandon was "listed" as a FEMALE black...all the other citations/crimes have "him" listed as black MALE.

--Now either he was a TG or a CD (transgendered or cross dresser), which in and of itself doesn't bother me none, but...in the BLACK community (especially when dealing with the THUG population), that's a HUGE no-no.

After all, what self-respecting GANG member wants to be known as the guy that picked up a girl, only to find out it was another GUY, hmm?

And Brandon COULD have been that one victim that was NOT a "bad" person (compared to SO many others in his community)...just effeminate...maybe wanted to be the next RuPaul...who knows?

Perhaps his shooting was the result of another MALE who didn't like that his ex was hanging with a gay person, or someone undecided about their gender in some manner...or tried to "get with" Brandon and found out his mistake...that's just the ghetto way...violence.
*** Next up, THIS story goes to show the wonderfulness that is often displayed down here on the...(...all together, gang...)...SOUTHEAST SIDE of Fort Wayne. It has to do with (what else?) a running man (and nothing to do with the movie of the same name).

What I find A-f$cking-mazing, is that the officer had initially stopped the perp for a NOISE VIOLATION (be still my beating heart)...!!!
And then, the guy up and BAILS...on a traffic stop (musta been rollin' dirty in da 'hood).
Breondon D. Pinkston, of the 4700 block of Bowser Ave (that block sounds familiar from previous crimes, doesn't it?) when apprehended (saggy jeans don't help you get away, dumbass) he gave the officer a FALSE name.
Then...Breondon's MOMMY showed up...ROFLMAO!
SHE told the officer his REAL name...what a loser when "mama" comes to your "assistance", such as it was.

Loves to run through strangers' houses when being pursued by the police.
AND...he LOVES to beat the women, doesn't he?
Right in front of the kids, too.
Must be REAL fun at those get-togethers...yes sir.
He ALSO had a violation for NOISE...wow, there's TWO...(out of several THOUSAND I hear each and every damn year).
He is currently being held WITHOUT bail (for a change) in the local hoosegow on a parole violation (wow...who'da ever thunk THAT?)
Never fear, he'll be back out on the streets soon enough...AGAIN...aren't they ALL?

Here's a resident of Warsaw, IN (a lot smaller than Ft. Wayne), being asked by someone for some WATER...and we see the result of a person wanting to help someone who needs it.
Only thing, is that the person in need...needed some GUNS and precious metal coins, instead.
You find it harder to do someone a good turn these days, because you just can't take things (OR people) at FACE VALUE.

I look at damn near everyone I don't know with a level of suspicion...you just get used to it, even if it goes against your "grain".

And if that person gets within a certain distance, I WILL warn them off...simple as that.
You just can't give benefits of the doubt away like free candy any longer...not in today's world, and that's pretty damn sad.
We can blame THAT also on this whole entitlement mentality, I suppose.
There ARE people out there that feel "entitled" to YOUR STUFF...for whatever reason.
The trick is to educate yourself before you fall victim to such predators.
And being a bit "standoffish" at times might just save you a world of hurt.

An HONOR FLIGHT left FWIA today, bound for Washington D.C., and the WW2 Veteran's Memorial.
I think this is a great thing for our vets who served in that war.
Considering we're losing them at an alarming rate, it's the proper thing to do for our "greatest generation".
Money for the flight for the vets and their guardians is funded solely by DONATIONS, and the cost is around $650.
The vets, volunteers, and family members were served breakfast by members of the 122nd ANG before the flight left today at 0800.

They will return back to Ft. Wayne around 2100 hrs this evening.
Here's a perfect case of people doing GOOD...for others than have DONE GOOD.
I know my father (WW2 vet - CBI), if he were still alive would find this fantastic.
And I would be proud to go with him to see that memorial.
THIS is the kind of things that make this nation great...and keep it that way.

Our job, as caretakers of a country these brave individuals turned over to us, is to make sure we remember what was done, so that we ALL might live as free as we were intended.

And by this flight (and others across the nation like it), I think we're on the right track.
Leastwise, we SHOULD be.
We OWE our vets that much.
