Humpday Happenings...
Middle of the week again, folks.
And, it's another "summer" day at McMurdo AFB, at least it FEELS that way outside this morning.
Here in the Heartland, we're starting out with temps around FIVE degrees, but the wind is less than yesterday, making it feel like it's ONLY 5 BELOW. As for the rest of the day?
Well, it's pretty much a rerun of yesterday, with the slight exception of slightly higher temps in the late afternoon, only topping out in the mid-twenties.
After that, we're warming up...albeit in small increments...with a chance of snow flurries.
So, bundle up, protect exposed areas of skin, and don't stay outside longer than you REALLY have to.
You don't want to wind up like some stand-in frozen pop (goes the sanity) sicle for the movie The Shining, right?
In the meantime, let's begin today with our Motto Of the Week aka: WHO SAID THAT?
"The world cares very little about what a man or woman knows; it is what a man or woman is able to do that counts."
So, who said that?
The answer at the top of tomorrow's post.
Meanwhile, back in the continuum...
*** FWPD arrested one man in connection with at least one of the THIRTEEN apartment robberies.
Here's the story:
Davonte M. Hamlet, 20, of the 3500 block of Smith Street, down on the...(...all together, gang...)...SOUTHEAST side of town is being held in lieu of $65K bail.
Bet'cha he looks GREAT in ORANGE, too.
And yes, he DOES have a record!
(no surprise THERE, huh?)

==========
Amazing that even when they're barely out of the JUVEY age, they manage to get on the WRONG side of the law.
Must have some VERY good "role models" at home and in his life...NOT!
And, I'll wager that his mama has been on the dole since SHE was a young'un, as well.
Generational dependency upon the government...sure proves it's point, doesn't it?
Interesting how the first name has TWO spellings, too.
(to throw off the PO-lice, no doubt)
And all the addresses LISTED are not the one given in the story...amazing how they are all so "nomadic" in nature, isn't it?
(again, to throw off the PO-lice, as they say)
Hamlet (act II, scene III) was arrested in connection with the Cambridge Square apartment robbery on 11 January, where TWO men bound up
three people, beat two of them, and took several items.
A victim in that apartment freed his hands, grabbed a gun and fired at the robbers as they left. Curiously enough, a short time later, police were notified that a shooting victim had come to the hospital.
Here's your NEW home, homey!

That victim was Hamlet (To bleed or not to bleed...THAT is the question), although police cannot confirm at this time if he was shot during that robbery or not.
Hamlet (Alas, poor baby mama, she knowed his ass well) was instructed to come to FWPD HQ to discuss the robberies, which he did.
He was subsequently arrested after evidence linked him to the crime scene at the apartment.
Looks like THIS boy will be around for awhile, but at least he's off to a good start (and an even better time when the prosecutor turns him back out in less time than it takes to accept a bribe)...sorry, did I say that out LOUD?
Moving along...
*** Three charter schools lose their renewals from Ball State University.
Here's the story:
Breaks my damn heart...LOL.
All three of these schools had pitiful gradings.
Timothy Johnson Academy got a "D", while both Imagine MASTer Academy and Imagine Schools on Broadway each got an "F".
Goes to show you STILL can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear!
And it also shows that some universities simply won't toss MORE (good) money after BAD...unlike our federal government.
You simply can't dress some kids up, send them to a nice school, that is a fledgling entity with no prior history of such success in education, and expect miracles.
*** Here is a situation that typifies the average behavioral pattern in Fort Wayne's ghettohood aka the SE side.
And here's the story:
So, two guys waltz into a convenience store, pull out guns, and fire a shot at a clerk who ducked down behind the counter.
Then, these perps leave without taking anything...
Are they "sending a message" perhaps?
This happened at the Burger Dairy III, located at 811 E. Pontiac St, around 2130 hrs Saturday night.
Neither the clerk, nor a customer were injured.
The clerk described the first gunman as a being a male BLACK (nahhhh, can't be), wearing a black jacket, black hat and a BLUE BANDANNA over his face.
(hmm...if I didn't know better, that sounds like a CRIP cover to me)
Neither of the gunmen said anything or took anything.
(yeah, they're sending a message...possibly to the whole neighborhood)
*** GOP digs in with 3 month plan for the debt ceiling...
Here's the scoop:
Naturally, the spoiled-brat-in-chief doesn't want any part of this...it requires WORK...something he's NOT USED TO.
He'd rather spend YOUR money until China moves into D.C.
This particular plan all but forces the Senate to pass a BUDGET (with them, it's easier to pass KIDNEY STONES)...something they have NOT done in FOUR YEARS.
When's the last time you budgeted in YOUR household...?
Bet it was within the past month.
Hell, I remember days when our family went almost paycheck to paycheck...budgeting on a damn hear DAILY basis.
But...THAT worked.
-- You can spend when you have it...not when you don't.
-- You can use CREDIT only SO FAR...before that overwhelms your ability to bring in enough capital to pay THAT off.
And that's why you have CREDIT LIMITS.
Apparently, THIS administration doesn't subscribe to EITHER of the last several sentences...at all!
It amazes me the level of STUPID that such people embrace...when the FACTS are stuck right under their primate (and well-tailored on the taxpayer's dime) noses...!
I want to see this current "leader" not given one damn inch to wiggle around with.
I want to see him fail at every plan he has to "fundamentally transform this nation".
I want to see conservatives grow a pair (and a backbone) and NOT back down with this guy in the oval orifice.
Then again, I really want OUR country the hell BACK.
*** Lastly today, where HAVE America's priorities gone, anyway?
This country USED to be run by people we could TRUST (at least a lot more than THESE jackoffs).
And we could trust them to act in OUR best interest, without governmental intrusion into our lives on such a scale as we see today.
Those people USED to run the country (and not into the damn poorhouse), and concern themselves with affairs of the nation, rather than John or Jane Q. Public. We were left to succeed (or fail) on our OWN, and that taught us important things in our lives.
It demonstrated that WE, the people, could get back up whenever we fall in our lives, and TRY again.
Our founding documents granted us all equal OPPORTUNITY...and NOT equal OUTCOME.
I miss those days.
But, I also believe we can recover from such insanity within our government, but it won't happen tomorrow, or even next month.
And it will take hard work, some difficult choices, but it will insure a better future for ALL of us.
We might not even live to see things change back to a better way or time, but it will come.
That is something we all need to take to heart...nothing lasts forever, not even inept governments or the people placed in such power who are meant to answer to US...and not themselves.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

Wow, FWPD solves yet another case by having someone else shoot the perp in the brains. Think how good they'd be if they were trying...

Yeah, I was falling the hell outta my chair when Raquel Foster came on and spoke about CITIZENS coming forward with information...and that the FWPD "relies" upon such tips to follow up on crimes.
I was torn between shouting and laughing.
(helluva combo)

LIKE I'VE BEEN TRYING TO DO THAT FOR YEARS DOWN HERE!
...with little to no response OR real followups.
I DO send along information whenever I come across some, and I DO keep DAILY notes (and pictures)

We're STILL knee-deep in abhorrently-behaved "people" down in my ghettohood.
Thanks Rus...and King Henry!

Yeah, it's the PEOPLE who wind up becoming the FIRST responders to crime...everything else is reactive by whoever shows up after that.

Anyone (like this punk-ass gov't-sponsored little sh*t) tries that kind of crap with our house...I WILL be...the FIRST Avenger...I mean RESPONDER.
((ahem))

Hey, thanks for dropping by today and comment.
Stay safe & warm up there.

Mid-twenties? Dude, we're topping out at eleven degrees today. You're having a heatwave. Don't think we'll see twenties until Friday or so. Provided I don't wind up like Mr. Nicholson first.

I like that Malignant Narcissism poster. Dead on, in my opinion.

It might top out near 20, but it still feels like...BRRRR!
Yeah, Jackie-Boy waited for the short-bus a tad TOO LONG, didn't he?

--I would LOVE to do an O-Bama-Slam-A-Day thing...but finding GOOD pictures is harder than you'd think.
I like to amuse AND enlighten my readers whenever I mention "that guy"...lol.
((Can't wait for the secret service to stop by...the coffee's on...LOL.))
--Oh wait, that's called my FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS!
Coffee's still free anyway.

Hey, thanks for rolling up today and commenting.

Stay safe and WARM out there.

It's a little frigid. Yikes! What did you think of Hillary today with John McCain and John Barasso questioning her during the "interrogation" (haha) of the Benghazi attack?

It's not just cold...it's TOO damn cold!
(and the joints are not letting me forget it...LOL)

I've got a spot on tomorrow's post ALL PLANNED to address what I saw on those hearings w/ Hillary.
I think you'll get a kick out of it.

Thanks for rolling by today and commenting.

You stay safe, warm and cozy (I hear RED WINE does a nice job...LOL) out there.
