Tuesday Tidbits...
If you like your days on the SULTRY side, then today will be right up your alley.
(in our alley, we just have the traffic that wants to avoid the po-po).
Our Hoosierland weather will be hot and more humid, with highs in the upper 80s...might even reach 90.
And, I saw on the news last night that the LAST time it was ninety degrees was back in September of last year.
We've gone over 320 days without temps getting above that ninety mark.
So much for global warming, hmm?
Oy, not the warm globe thing AGAIN...
Still, that damn humidity is a bugger - saps the strength out of you real fast, so take the proper precautions if you're out and about for any length of time. Word to the wise time, folks.
With that said, you go and get your favorite morning drink poured and we'll see what's shaking off of the tree today...
*** First out of the orchard is our "What the hell happens today, Bob?" feature:
July 28 -
---Today is NATIONAL MILK CHOCOLATE DAY.
Well in this weather, that's easy enough to roll with.
I'm sure that CHOCOLATE MILK is acceptable - Hershey's...here I come.
---And, it's BUFFALO SOLDIER'S DAY
(why, yes, that IS the CONFEDERATE FLAG on that picture...sue me!)
History should never forget the contribution the American freemen of African descent made to the military and the old west.
*** And since it's Tuesday once again, it's time to see ALL those police calls that the local media never seems to tell you about...until weeks later.

If you're curious as to that "spike" in gunshots on the 25th...well, it WAS a SATURDAY, and the "natives" get a might restless in the ghettohood.
Please press "1" for non-emergencies.
It also takes longer to get through dispatch on weekends, especially when a recorded voice tells you you have a couple calls AHEAD of you.
(such a stupid-ass system that cost the taxpayers too much for crappier service)
And we can't forget the dumbases who STILL have leftover pyrotechnics, can we?

Moving on...
*** Next, what to do around the house when the missus is gone...?
Well, there is always some lawn to mow...
And it SMELLS great, too!
(not a bad job...as usual)
Or, some critters to feed...
Keep that food comin';, Bob...
Or watch the cat sleep...
"...ZZZzzzzzzZZZ...."
Now, I won't post pictures of the trash I have to remove from the property...why spoil a good moment, right?
Let's just say that the local litterbugs also never seem to take any time off.
I should pitch this to King Henry...
And, you can usually tell WHAT kind of beer can or bottle will be deposited along the property by the half-page booze ADS in the local paper.
Funny, I didn't know ANY of them could freaking READ?
(maybe someone is reading it TO them...that's gotta be it)
*** Next up, Wifey's Dad is doing better...less pain, and the docs think it has to do with a fractured vertebrae...most likely an older injury that went unattended for too long.
Thanks for ALL the kind words and prayers...Lord knows we can always use them.
Wifey is expected to return tomorrow, and her Dad may have to go into a nursing home, if he can't move about well enough to be on his own...that is still up in the air for now, until he gets better.
*** Next, I've been following all this "whatever" concerning the presidential candidates (on both sides of the aisle), and I will admit to a certain admiration for several that have grown the balls to speak their minds and seek the truth to matters important to this nation and her citizens.
Trump is that wild card you hear about - boisterous as the day is long...never at a loss for something to say, always has SOME answer, and is never afraid to call someone out. Ted Cruz is also filling that bill with his "truth-seeking" adventure with Mitch McConnell.
Ana even Mike Huckabee is getting some of that "righetous indignation": going on now.
As for the dems? Clinton says she's "for the middle class", when she doesn't even know WHAT the middle class is.
She has the audacity to speak to that, when HER ethics are in the crapper, with the hand of Congress on the handle, ready to flush.
Sounds about right.
Sanders is a socialist and therefore not a contender.
The rest of the field on both sides needs a lot of work...
I get bored hearing the "same old" and winding up with a hand full of nothing after these people get elected, and I'm sure you feel the same way.
The two political parties have MORE in comm,on than we once thought...and it shows.
*** Last back to the processing plant...how can it be that hard to speak plain and truthful to others?
Granted, that we ALL have told some very TALL tales in our day, especially as children...and learned the value of NOT telling a fib to one's parents..
That only served to double the punishment,.
I like to think there are levels of deceit, although ALL of it isn't all that good, and will catch up to you eventually..
Some people lie to protect others...a noble enough intent, but a lie is still a lie, right?
Others lie to advance whatever agenda or cause they're chasing at the time, and most times, it's usually got something in it for themselves.
Still more create a lie by saying nothing at all...by "omission".
Some have lied to so many for so long, that's ALL they know.
Here again, we have varying levels of such behavior.
We have those who lie ALL the time, and they're so bad at it, everyone sees right through them (in many cases that is called "transparency"..lol)
Others have lied for so long, and have become quite adept at deceiving others...but sooner or later, they also get found out.
Mark Twain said it best when it comes to being deceitful.
And some might learn from that...they have bad memories.
There is an EASY way out of such things...(for a change).
Just be truthful, even if it ruffles a few feathers...at least no one will be calling you a liar. But always know your FACTS first.
Others will admire you for speaking out an saying what needs to be said, even if they don't like you.
History has proven that much...and has shown us more when it comes to being deceived.
A good lesson...and a proper lesson, hmm?
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

- I had my chocolate milk this morning...

- "Or watch the cat sleep"... You GOTTA get out more...

- "I should pitch this to King Henry..." Or build a couple yourself and see the reaction...

- Glad to hear the found his problem... hope he can heal up now...

- You are right about the "more in common", dead right. Three cheers to Cruz, screw their "improper attack" BS. Stop whining and LOOK IN THE MIRROR, pendejos!

- I said before and say again- the BEST thing that could happen is for Trump to go independent AND WIN. That would effectively destroy the GOP and Cruz, Rubio, and Walker could build something useful from the ruins.

- Twain never had to deal with a group of people so lost in the "narrative", the "agenda", that they don't recognize, regard, or even remember the truth.

--Chocolate milk...that's my man, there!
(I made some and mixed it with my coffee...YOWZAH!)

--"Gotta get out" - The locals" would want nothing better and have been hinting exactly THAT for YEARS...LOL.

--Yeah, I could see the headlines directed at some "new" form of racist rhetoric now -
"BLACK TRASH MATTERS"

--We all hope that, my friend.

--Makes me wonder if these politicos have an aversion to mirrors...sounds a bit "BRAM STOKER" to me, and that can't be good for anyone (unless we have some garlic and some holy water nearby)

--That might be a damn good way to go - I think those three COULD indeed create a much BETTER (and conservative) GOP.

--That's an excellent point...wonder what Twain WOULD have to say, were he alive TODAY?

Thanks for stopping by today and commenting.
(glad to know someone's out there reading this...lol)

You stay safe, keep cool & enjoy the vacation up there, brother.
