Still, we are getting the remnants of the rain that doused Louisiana a couple days ago.
Be thankful we're not using boats to get around.
Our Hoosierland weather for today finds us with only scattered showers, a high of around 80 degrees and partly cloudy skies (which should clear up as the day progresses into evening).

Fort Wayne stands at 24 HOMICIDES now - so much for making it to (only) 25 for the year...let's shoot (pun intended) for THIRTY (or more).
Knowing certain parts of town, that should be easy enough.

Now, in BOTH of these cases, there HAVE been arrests, mainly because PEOPLE CAME FORWARD and provided information that led police to suspects now in custody.
In the case of the Woodbridge Apartments killing, two JUVENILES were taken into custody.
The Texas Roadhouse killing was done by a biker gang member.
These arrests clearly demonstrates the major difference between the black community and others.
This whole thing about witnesses who "dinseenuffin" has got to end IF you want the criminals OFF your streets in your community. Simple as that. You see something or know something - say something.

Okay, so we have shouts of "black power" as well as beating up white people who had nothing at all to do with any of this.
WTF is wrong with these primates that they would take to such bestial behavior? They are not helping ANY cause of theirs, that's for sure. Guess these mooks would prefer water cannons and police dogs?
(and those were used for far LESS WORSE scenarios in the south back in the 60s against INNOCENT blacks who were NOT violent).

As you know, yesterday was rather wet outside, and needless to say, our little buddy got rather soaked, in spite of finding some spots alongside the house (patio side).
Well, I know I hate being wet constantly, so I mulled over what I could do to alleviate those conditions.
I still had the old recycle bins, and had an idea - why not make a sheltered area?

"Not bad...It's got possibilities."

I got some planks to level the bin (make the rain drain AWAY from the inside, and PRESTO...instant DRY SPOT.
I took some food out and Hobo went right in to eat... YES!

"Now THIS is al fresco".

And when he was done, promptly walked back OUT...

I had a case of "Leading a horse to water, but..." Syndrome. I could not get the little guy to STAY inside and away from the rain. At least his FOOD didn't get wet and soggy.

"This restaurant gets better and better."

Even got an old towel to add to it.
I told Wifey "If I find a possum or raccoon curled up in that bin tomorrow morning, I'm gonna be really pissed!"
That also goes for ANOTHER cat. This is for Hobo only.
*** Next, it looks like BBC America has gone back to airing two hours of Doctor Who in the morning (9AM - 11AM), and that suits me fine.

Helps break up the morning monotony, not that that's better than all the drama we "enjoy" down here at "The Fortress", but a little banality is always welcome.
*** Last back to the drainage ditch...we're seeing a dangerous precedent set in our nation.

Most all of it has to do with the LIBERAL agenda, and how (for decades) they have led people to believe they were championing the cause of the poor and downtrodden...how's that been working out?
Well, black unemployment is UP, conditions for those disadvantaged have NOT improved (and certainly not over the last 7.5 years), black families are all but gone. Single parent families which used to be around 10% are now over 70%, so we do have a lot of children (especially black males) growing up without a REAL father.
All of this leads to the angst and rebellion we're seeing on our streets, and goes to foster criminal activity. Along those lines, crime in those areas continues to rise.
And the liberals (like Clinton) say they have a plan to solve such things...
Really?  Clinton has been in politics for THIRTY years...what the hell has she been doing ALL that time? Obviously NOT doing what she NOW says she plans to do, that's for sure.

Enough with the subterfuge...the obfuscation...and the lies.
If I want THAT much bullshit, I can easily drive to a damn cattle rancher's farm and shovel as much as I want.
We need people who can:
1) TELL THE TRUTH
2) NOT BE AFRAID TO DO SO

It's that simple, and I see no reason why this has not been tried. at least encouraged..
Sure, some people might find such a thing irritating, and appalling, but continuing to live "the lies" is costing us dearly as a society, and as a nation, don'cha think?
