Tuesday Tidbits...

If you liked yesterday's weather (I disliked it greatly), then today will be a repeat of Monday (which I will also dislike greatly).
Yes indeed, the hazy, the hot and the humid will be around for a bit longer, so if you HAVE to go outside, make it brief, because you can get sunburned in less than 20 minutes.
Our Hoosierland weather (such as it will be) for today brings us partly sunny skies, temps reaching back up to around 89 degrees (with the humidity, it will feel like the near mid-90s out there). It will be breezy, so your sweat will be able to move around a bit...lol.

So what say we start getting that hydration thing going with a refreshing drink, as we see what else has been going on...hmm?

Nice job, your highness...and after you get this crapload of alleys completed in say...25+ years, they'll need to be redone, because you've got people using them as THROUGH STREETS...

The only thing we seem to get "served" in MY part of town (read ghettohood) is a daily heaping helping of APATHY, with a side dish of IGNORANCE and chocolate-covered STUPIDITY  (with a cherry bullet on top) for dessert.
Plays hell with the lower gastrointestinal tract.

This boy can SLEEP!

Good day for the kids...displays of cuteness abound, and some chasing of the "glitter ball" around the house.
They even got to see a couple birds that braved the felines outside and stopped at the feeder.

She doesn't do bad either.

While these two can be a handful once in a while, it's worth it the rest of the time.
*** Next up, time to check back in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...

Too hot to patrol any distance.

Our furry twosome spent all day near the house. Midnight must have done an abbreviated "patrol", as he surprised me and was here for lunch.

I think I see another shady spot.

Whiskers was just going from shady spot to shady spot to stay out of the heart.
Having to carry around a fur coat, I can;t blame either of them one bit.
*** Last back to the steam room...our society is suffering.

THIS is just for starters...

And, it's suffering from many things these days, not the least of which is the lack of ethical behavior.
What we used to avoid (because it was not proper or in bad taste), we don't even bat an eye at any longer.
Respect is all but demanded (by many undeserving), rather than earned.
We exhibit micro-aggression at the slightest drop of a hat.
And we allow social media to run our lives, rather than take responsibility for our actions and words.

This is NOT how any society moves forward, unless it's toward something unthinkable.
It's not that our moral compass is broken...our society seems to longer care about having one at all.
All of our problems stem from embracing evil at some level...make no mistake.
Ignorance, lust, jealousy, anger...all of these (and a few more) contribute to our society's "path to the dark side", as it were.

Yes...toss in FEAR, too.

What we have forgotten, we can remember once again, and thereby get back onto the path of "light".
But as it always turns out, people have to make the right CHOICE to do so.
That's all it takes...a choice...a decision...a desire to turn away from what ails our country.
When people do that, solutions will present themselves.
