Yes, we are going to need the umbrella again today...it's gonna be a wet one out there.

Personally, I could use a good dry-out, because we're still getting thos damn mosquitoes around.

The high today will climb back to around 76 degrees, so sure, take a light jacket with you to keep you dry. And yes, there's plenty of humidity outside

*** Next up, as could be expected, FWCS is wanting to make WE, THE PEOPLE pay more on (our) property taxes with a proposed THREE PERCENT INCREASE to pay for THEIR budget. Here's the story:

Yeah, FWCS is cryin' the blues, and they should with such a bloated budget for 2019 ($305.9 MIL to be exact).
((The proposed budget is up 4 percent from 2018, with nearly 75 percent of spending – about $203.7 million – earmarked for the education fund.))

Gee, it's weird how the percentage of INCREASE is the SAME as that of the CITY budget (also up 4%).
They must really LIKE that number this year...maybe it's time for some math storytelling?
This is another financial "mosquito bite" that we can add to the ever-increasing number of increases to the citizenry.
In fact, we're hearing MORE HIKES that can be found in ANY football game.

And from what I saw, they are even going to be running some of the Chris Eccleston episodes (first series of the reboot from 2005)

The kids had a decent day, with some early chasing of the fuzzy glitter ball. There's no way you can get a still shot when they're moving about so much...maybe a video some day?

Well, aside from finding another dead mouse (we don't need feline gifts, thank you) on the back lawn this morning, our furry twosome did pretty good yesterday, even of the weather later on didn't cooperate in the fashion  we all come to enjoy.
Sure, Midnight did his patrol, but he was back for lunch and dinner.

He even followed me over to the mailbox, and proceeded to sit his butt IN THE STREET (he worries me).

Whiskers just hunkered down, took things easier, and had taken to using the shelter again when it rains. I think she's the brains of this crew...lol.
Both would do well to utilize the shelters...that's what they're there for anyway.
*** Last back to the rain barrel...We live in a crazy world and it's full of crazy people.

Yet, there are some who would think such a description is too harsh...tough sh*t. That's REALITY, folks.
And sadly, the crazy-asses out there are resorting to shooting one another...mainly becasue it's easier than any other method
Recently, five people were killed in a Cincy Firt Third Bnak branch when a shooter walked in, past the "gun-free zoine" signs and the unarmed guards at the bank. Employess had been told they could be dismissed if they brought a (legally owned and licensed) gun onto the premises
Guess the OHIO gun laws need some "tweaking"? It WOULD save more lives.

Here in Ft. Wayne, we've plenty of thugs roaming our streets (daily), well under the radar of the FWPD, and they're carrying guns as well, none of them legally obtained. And they're not afraid to use them...like at Link's Wonderland last week.
A fine example of what a SOCIOPATH is. Yes, it IS a crazy world full of crazy people.
But the good news is that they are thinning THEIR ranks out faster than OURS.
(just not fast enough for me)
I wish that reassurance could just make me sleep a bit better at night...how about you?
