Tuesday Tidbits...
Yes, it's a bit on the frigid side out there this morning, but be thankful we're not digging out from under a foot of snow like some near the east coast.
You're going to still practice some caution out there while driving about, as some slick spots will no doubt be looking for the unsuspecting. And make sure to dress accordingly as well.
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us partly sunny skies, temps rising to about 37 degrees (above freezing is always preferable in my book), and no precipitation (but it's coming).
Now, let's settle in with a nice hot cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa (or maybe something a bit stringe) while we see what else has been going on...
*** First off of the frozen leaf pile is our "What the hell happens today, Bob?" feature:
DECEMBER 11 -
---It's National APP Day
(there better be an "app" for that by now)
---It's National Noodle Ring Day
(good day for some hot soup, too)
*** Next up, time once again to view all the FWPD calls that went out last week for the crimes we SHOULD have heard about...but didn't:

*** Next, More "tis the season" goings on. Here's the story:
https://www.wane.com/news/local-news/police-search-for-suspect-in-theft-of-10k-in-merchandise/1651194905
This perp has stolen $10K of stuff from various stores in Allen Country.
Be nice is we all knew WHICH stores he's hit and what part of the city it took place, wouldn't it?
Make things lots easier to find this thief and find him a nice warm JAIL CELL for the holidays.
*** Next up, Which TV is the "best bang for YOUR buck"? let's see:
https://www.wane.com/sponsored-content?prx_t=fCQEATB0sAS1QQA
First off, I DON'T need ROKU...or a SMART tv, and I CERTAINLY don't need a SIXTY-FIVE INCH set.
I'd LIKE to find a damn 28" rig that would FIT into our existing entertainment center. Maybe a 32 inch set for the family room.
And I want a set that simply connects to a COAX cable from a set top box (that we're paying for).
I want a DUMB television...that'/s easy to hook up and just as easy to watch...period.
I'm not trying to impress anyone...I only want to watch my channels and maybe some DVDs once in a while.
Guess that's WAY too much to as for these days.
*** Next, time to drop by "Kitten Corner"...
I iz sorry for almost tripping daddy.
The kids had themselves a nice calm day...after Gallifrey decided to stop running between my legs. I don't like taking unexpected "trips".
I iz busy hiding in the bag.
Violet was wonderfully content to not take part in that...good for her.
*** Next up, let's brave the cold and check in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...
Our furry twosome spent the day nearby the house (right alongside the foundation wall adjacent to the patio.
That was good to have them close, when the weather gets cold.
She usually spends the night in a shelter, but I;ve no idea whore he goes. As long as they're both here for breakfast, that's fine. And then they know they;ll get fed well enough.
*** Last back to the fireplace...there's no getting around it...growing older kinda sucks.
I've been debating what Christmas decorations to pout up this year, and  really do not have the strength or stamina to haul up a;; the bins (yes, we have our share of decorations. I take after my mom there) up and down the stairs.
So, I'm picking and choosing.
The tree is  must, but all the bric-a-brac...perhaps not. Wreaths on the doors...already done.
Our Christmas bears?
Well, this might well be the last year we can get one (finding a K-Mart in Indiana is becoming as hard has finding a good neighbors in our area). But., they're bagged, so it's not heavy to lug upstairs.
I also plan to keep putting the electric candles in our windows (as long as they last, that is). It's nice to see those blue bulbs glowing at night.
But overall, it is becoming for of a chore than anything else.
Wasn't a problem when I was younger...my folks did the decorating (and let me help). As I got older, I liked getting all "Christmased-up" for the holidays...did that for years in Philly as well as here Hoosierland.
It's just that the spirit is willing but the body's not wanting to participate as much.
Still, we'll have some level of festiveness around the "Fortress"...and for the usual amount of time (until January 6th).
Yeah, it's only once a year...but that once seems to be coming around sooner than I imagined...heh.
Be well, make a difference to someone, and...
Stay SAFE out there, America.

App day- unless it's an appetizer, IDC...

Dumb TVs? Too much to ask for these days... And boy do I hate making a comment at the beginning of a story and find you beat me to it, lol!

Christmas- you sound like me most years- but I had the spirit this year for a change!

Chris:
---Totally agree!!!
I've got one of those flip (dumb) phones...only carry it when I go out...as an EMERGENCY measure.
In that, it works perfectly.
(Wifey's got the app-machine)
---What can I say...it's the whole "Time Lord -Great Minds" connectivity thingy.
---I think with me (this year), I don't have the AMOUNT of spirit I believe I SHOULD have...that's what gets me off kilter there.
Still getting decorations out, so that helps a bit.

Thanks much for taking time and commenting here today.

Stay safe (and "Christmasey") up there, brother.
