Well, the forecasters SAID there was going to be rain...and they blew it.
Today looks to be more in the style of summer (so far).
Our Hoosierland weather will be bringing us mostly sunny skies (or partly cloudy - your choice), temps climbing to around the 80 degree mark, (keep the A/C on standby...we're gonna need it), and light breezes. The rain comes tomorrow (so they say).

*** Next, it's time to stop by our "Kitten Corner"...

He always has to see what's going on.

The kids managed to "break their streak" of good behavior...they got into one of those "running about" moods. One of them almost ran right into my legs. Good thing I wasn't carrying anything at the time.
Other than that, they spent a good part of the day napping (no doubt to recharge their "batteries").

She just pleads innocent cuteness.

Later at night, Violet came in to sleep with me. Gallifrey just jumped up to make sure I was still breathing. He's good like that...heh.
*** Next up, let's check in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...
Our furry twosome had a pretty good day. Morning treats on the back steps...then breakfast later on..

"I think I need to take a stroll..."

Midnight went on patrol and missed lunch (typical). Whiskers stayed near the house, got lunch and some neck rubs.

"Let him patrol. I got food."

Both were here for dinner and when the sun set and I turned the outside lights on, more treats on the back steps.
Wonderful routine...for ALL of us.
*** Last back to the family room...it's a shame that some people can't control their "animal urges".

Take the Toronto Raptors celebration...supposed to be a good time, right?
Nope...some asshole had to shoot up the place with all those people there.
(I read where there was a "rap star" performing there as well...that explains a lot)

Too many cities across America (and parts north these days) are beset with a small part of the population that HAS to muck things up for everyone else.

But, you know what the REALLY sad part to all of this stuff is? Our society is becoming a little too "used" to this kind of behavior from this small section OF our society.
It's called desensitization, and it's a bad habit to get into, especially with the level of violence these animals display on a daily basis in our cities.
We would all be well served if we took harsher steps to eradicate such cretins, because if we continue on our present course, a lot more innocent people will get hurt...or killed.
That's not what this nation is all about. It's LIFE (not death) , liberty, and  the pursuit of happiness.
We all need to take that to heart...every day.
