Tuesday Tidbits...

It's looks like we're in for a REAL taste of Spring (what the hell took so long?) for a change.
Makes climbing out of the sack a bit more "user-friendly".
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us mostly sunny skies (...go on...), temps climbing to around FORTY-SEVEN (that's 47) degrees (...go on...) and a chance of rain coming later in the evening (at least it's not snow).
I think we can handle that for the time being.

So, let's get that comforting beverage poured, as we see what else has been going on...

Time to take things a bit easier.

Our kids had a rather "fin" day, and by that, I mean THEY had fun...and I had to see what they were getting into a few times. When you hear some noise that you shouldn't, you have to check it out.

I am with you there, buddy.

Fortunately, things calmed down, and we three chose to take advantage of yesterday's National Napping Day...lol.
And there was calm throughout our "realm".

We're back to having a furry TWOSOME once again.

Missed me...did 'ya?

Midnight decided he had enough wandering for the better part of a day and a half, and came back "home" and man, was he hungry.

I missed you too...AND the food.

(yeah, staying away from a guaranteed food source does that).
I think Whiskers was glad to see him, as they touched noses a couple times. I can never get a picture of that.

He just likes making us ALL worry.

And he had lunch, dinner and even treats afterwards.
Let's hope his wanderlust is short-lived, especially with the weather getting nice and being able to spend more time outside with them both.
*** Last back to the cereal box...used to be a time when "fixing" people meant two things - a frontal lobotomy or sterilization.

Then, a "fix" became getting the next hit from a hypo full of heroin.
Today, it seems to have evolved into this "social engineering" deal.
Sorry, I'm not buying into this tripe, and neither should any of you.
Sure, there are a LOT of people out there who need "fixing", and none of the aforementioned ways really do any good.

There are those attempting this.

Perhaps rather than toss solutions at some wall of humanity in the hope that some of it might stick, we'd be better served to tackle the actual CAUSES to the problems that require fixing.
I believe that if we KNOW the cause of our problems we CAN fix that, and thereby get the people walking the wrong path back onto the right path.
But, if we allow ourselves to be coerced and manipulated into some level of subservience, we're not addressing any problem.
In fact we're trying to put another band-aid on a compound fracture, and that never works.
We need to trust our instinct, and if something doesn't seem right, it probably isn't.

See beyond all this.

Asking questions along those lines never hurts, and only serves to pull back the curtain from the charlatans who are trying to co-op our very lives, and deny us our God-given rights in the process.
But, it takes work to do that...sometimes hard work, but the benefits to engineering OURSELVES using the right tools (like civility, respect, compassion, and faith), rather than allowing someone else (and their agenda) to do it for us, makes us ALL better people in the end, and solves more problems than social engineering creates. That's a fact.
