Looks like we might have another nice day on tap...and it's ONLY Tuesday.
Sure beats all that snow, but such conditions come with a price (doesn't everything?).
Be mindful of idiots behind the wheel, people walking where they shouldn't and not paying attention. Springtime does have it's own unique "caveats".
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us some clouds early on, changing to sunny skies, temps climbing to around the 50 degree mark, and no rain (or snow). I think we'll be just fine with that.

*** Next up, and speaking of CRIME, we have this:

The shooting took place in the 3000 block of Adams St near Manford (north of McMillen Park and near the roundabout at Pontiac).
Yepper, that's the ghettoesque SOUTHEAST side of town.

One male was found by police in a front yard (of 3016 Adams) suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.
No suspects, no motives...(as usual). More TNB.

NOISY teenagers...yes, and not the kind who "just" laugh along with everyone else at the humorous parts of a film, but the ones who hoot and howl like lower primates in heat (when not chatting on their damn phones or throwing food or drink).
Hey, I was a teen (once), and whenever we went to movies, we practiced something called "personal restraint". Civility went a long way.
Also, we had people called USHERS who made sure you acted in a civil manner, and if not, you'd get tossed out.

How times have changed...right?
*** Next up, time to stop by our "Kitten Corner"...

Sleeping in the kitty "surf house".

The kids were nothing short of angelic yesterday.
Hardly knew they were around for a good part of the afternoon and evening.

She's just being her usual cute self.

Feeding time was about the only instance where we had a little frenetic activity, but that's fine.
I get like that when I'm hungry and ready to eat...lol.
*** Next, let's check back in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...
Our furry duo were enjoying the warmer weather (once the morning chill was chased away).

"YAY! I like when it's nice out!"

Whiskers was in the shelter or alongside the house liking the sunshine, while Midnight went on patrol (missing lunch as usual).
He comes back for dinner, though...(smart cat).

"Geez, we're cats. Have some dignity."

And, we had after dinner treats when the sun got low in the sky.
Later, when Wifey got home after dark, Whiskers must have been asleep, because Midnight came out to get more treats.
*** Last back to the sugar bowl...I began today's post with a warning about the warmer weather.

And, there's a good reason behind that. Some people think such conditions are there to serve THEMSELVES (only).
I'm already seeing an increase in loud car stereos around us, as well as speeders up and down the streets. None of them are cited, because you need something called POLICE in the area.
And with most all the "locals" walking down the middle of these streets (ignoring the city-supplied sidewalks), is nothing short of an accident waiting to happen.
Kids are no exception, because they're just not taught correctly from little on up.
I suppose one might say that's a form of child abuse, but in too many cases, the parents don't (even) know ANY better, so it's become a "generational stupidity" deal.
Yes, there used to be a time when one could actually enjoy warm weather, summertime and all the fun it used to bring.
Now, it's more like "anyone get shot today?" or some a-hole marrying his/her vehicle to something not intended, like a building, light post, or another vehicle. And let's not forget all the crimes in the stat sheet above.
Too much distraction, and not enough focus...
Somehow, I don't think that helps anyone, and certainly doesn't make society one bit better, unless you want to count the "decrease of the surplus population", as Dickens would say.
