I have to admit that yesterday was a fairly nice day. It was getting into the warm realm, which (at my age) tends to be less desirable than cooler weather. I mean we can ALWAYS bundle up, but we can only take SO many clothes off...right? LOL!Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us more sunshine today, temps climbing to around 65 degrees (I'm liking that a lot), and no precipitation (that's coming tomorrow, so they say).

We can't really predict (with certainty) what will take place after we awake, but we can set aside some plans as to what we'd like to get accomplished.And, there are times when our best laid plans will go awry, through no fault of out own. That's fine. We can always start anew the following day, right?
The main thing to take from this is that it's good to have some sort of plan in life.
We can be either task-oriented, or goal-oriented.
I like to get my tasks set in such a way so that they allow me to achieve whatever goal is the net result OF those tasks.
Sadly, there are many people without a goal in life, and they don't really perform tasks which might lead them TO a goal.
I guess that's what subsidies are for...the terminally lazy and slothful among us.
Instant gratification is not a way to go through life...you WILL become disappointed.
Better to be more self-reliant, and personally responsible, embracing values and principles that will make you a more complete person.
That's definitely a better road to travel.

As a dog owner, I feel you have a responsibility to protect your dog FROM biting others. When we were kids, my nephew and i were riding bikes down the road when a doberman came flying out of his yard. Despite hauling ass, my nephew ended up with a bruise on his pocket. If you KNOW your dog is likely to do that, put up a fricking fence. Scrappy got attacked once by a Shepherd b/c the owner didn't think anyone but them would be in the woods on a beautiful sunny day and left him OFF his leash. Another guy got shitty with me down by the swamp b/c I had Scrappy on a leash and he didn't his. Never said anything to the guy, never looked his way, but he goes by me saying, Just letting the dog be a dog". And when being a dog, he gets away from you, runs out of the swamp and a car nails him? Guess that's just a dog being a speedbump. Dogs are never really the problem. A lot of times people who don't know them are. But IMHO, it's mostly owners that are the problem.
Feline Pilates: A blog friend mentioned that she wanted to get back into yoga. She put up a diagram of some poses, and two of them had doggie names. Another commenter mentioned that my friend's two dogs might help her out with those positions...
