Tuesday Tidbits...

Most folks might think this a "chilly" morning. I think of it as being more COMFORTABLE, actually.
Nothing wrong with a little "brisk" in the air. Gives you more bounce in your step.
(not that many people even have that these days...lol)
Our Hoosierland weather for today brings us partly to mostly sunny skies, temps climbing (from the low 50s this morning) to around the 77 degree mark. Nice variance there.

Now, what say we all get a refreshing drink to begin the day, as we see what else has been going on, hmm?

*** Next up...The return of Wifey...(sounds like another Star Wars Sequel)
Well, she made it back okay and that's the important part.

BUT (uh, oh), she DID forget to bring back the box of Charlie's Chocolates she bought down there (Dad's gonna love them), PLUS, the Walmart down in Vincennes did NOT have the "Worthy Cap" figure.
WTH? Did Indiana get the crap end of the (toy) stick AGAIN?
I have got to check out the other WMs in our area and see what's shaking on this.

So, in summary...NO Cap figure, NO chocolates. but Wifey's back safe and sound...lol
Wasn't a total loss...right? Good to "have the band back together".
*** Next...Time to make our stop at "Kitten Corner"...
The kids really liked seeing "mommy" again...
Well, actually, they didn't seem to notice that much.

"Mommy's home. Show SOME enthusiasm."

I kept telling them that she was coming home, and all I got was a couple cute but blank stares.
I suppose if I included some "treats" that would have made a difference?
Let's just say their behavior didn't deviate as much as I was expecting. I guess that's good.
*** Next up...Let's check in with "Midnight and Whiskers"...
Our furry twosome were a bit more "animated" to see their adopted mommy.

I think they both live for this gig.

Whiskers was right there, giving leg rubs. Midnight had gone off wandering and had to be called back for dinner, and when he finally jumped through the fence, he was his laid-back self. Still got a little limp, but no worse for wear.
Of course, neither of them missed the "treats-time" on the back step.
*** Last back to the ghetto...ever notice how the MAJORITY of those police calls above usually take place on the (...all together, boys and girls...) SOUTHEAST SIDE of our fair city?

Granted, we do have our share of other locations around that are also seeing crime, but that's to be expected when society abandons civility and ethical behavior, Tossing morality to the curb is NOT a way to allow any society to move forward. If anything, it's regressive, but there are some that feel good with that. I do NOT.

We (in America) have overcome huge obstacles in our short history; it's people have always been up to whatever task was laid before them, and winning a lot of wars from our infancy forward is just the tip of that iceberg.
We've managed to establish equality (although some still wish to be MORE equal than others), manufactured our butts off through the Industrial Revolution, created technologies that were fantasy several decades ago, and bounced back from a world wide economic depression. Not too bad.
Can't say the same for any other nation...can you?
And yet, to "some" that's still not enough.  More and more, we see those with their hands out for free stuff, and when they don't get it, they take to being predators, and that means crime happens...a lot.
To do what's right for ourselves and our future is bigger than our government, because it involves ALL of us...working TOGETHER, rather than against one another.

It takes being steadfast and willing to do what is right in the eyes of man AND God. It takes people to want to get their heads out of their asses and start making positive changes to their own lives, being better examples of humanity to their children, and learning to not have to resort to being a dumbass whenever the perception of a slight occurs.
Like I say...we used to be a better people, and I see no reason to abandon that way of thinking...or living.
