Welcome to what looks to be a very nice day (for what is usually referred to as the "dog days of summer").
If you have some outdoor activities planned, today will more than fill the bill.
Our Hoosierland weather will find us with mostly sunny skies (after a wonderfully comfortable night), temps reaching to 83 degrees, and no sign of precipitation on the immediate horizon.
It's the kind of morning that gives one hope. And Lord knows we all can use a healthy dose of that, hmm?
So, let's all get our morning drinks poured and parked nearby as we take a look at what's been going on elsewhere...

Actually, this was created to increase awareness of police programs in communities such as:
- Drug prevention
- Town watch
- Neighborhood watch
 Funny how I haven't seen anything in the local news about this...?

*** Still keeping with the police "theme", the murderer of the Memphis officer has turned himself in.

Guess this punk thought it was safer than confronting OTHER officers on the street and getting his ass shot to hell.
(as he well deserves).
The next best thing would be if he hanged himself in his jail cell awaiting trial.
Other than that, we shall see how well the case is prosecuted and how much time he'll eventually do, because I'd be surprised if a death-sentence would be forthcoming (we're so damn compassionate for the wrong people and reasons these days.).

Considering that MANY states feel the same way, it's no surprise that there are still SOME people that feel this IS a major job (and industry) killer.

The LIBERAL-run states are EASY to spot.

The mandates that were proposed are simply laughable, and the EPA should be abolished ASAP, before we turn this nation into a 3rd world country.

Levin (who has a new book out today called Plunder and Deceit) also spoke about what I said regarding photosynthesis...and the NEED for carbon dioxide, and how it is NOT a "toxin" as the "prez" stated...
That weirdo likened CO2 to arsenic or mercury (which really ARE toxic)...whatta moron.

All you have to do is have a third-grade understanding of science, and you can know what this president says about "climate change" is nothing more than socialist progressive bullshit.

It's no longer about "tweaking the carburetor" for optimal performance (they don't even HAVE those - they're all fuel-injected), but it IS all about "software modification"...now who the hell would have thought that THIS would be an impediment to car repair?

Yep, our city got a nice healthy GRANT from the (who else?) FEDS, amounting to $1.4 MILLION DOLLARS.
Now, I'm sure you're ALL waiting for "the other shoe to drop", right?
Well, here goes...
TEN of he new hires will come from the grant with the other five figuring into the city's 2016 budget.
The grant pays for TWO years...after that, the CITY will "absorb the cost" going forward.
The city says that cost COULD be "budget-neutral"., then again, this city SAYS a lot.
These new hires would replace retiring personnel on the payroll.
John Perlich, city "spokesguy" says the city is seeing an INCREASE in assessed property value (really? not seeing that where WE live, unless someone is fudging the numbers and "cookin' the books" downtown) which could mean more revenue to pay for the costs.
Yeah..we can always "hope" for that kind of "change", can't we?
*** And speaking of our Blamer-In-Chief, it happens to be his BIRTHDAY...
I can only imagine how much THAT will cost all of us...

He turns 54 today, and I can truthfully say that I know a shitload MORE than  he does about AMERICA. And I always will.

And that's being WAY too "kind".

Come to think of it, we never HAVE seen his real birth certificate, have we?
Well, at least I'M NOT trying to "fundamentally change America". 
I just want OUR America the hell back, before it descends further into the 7th later of Dante's Inferno.
*** Last back to the rose garden...I like history...a lot.

But,what amazes me, having attended school back in those wonderfully historic days of the late 50s to 1970 (graduation from high school), is how what we once knew as HISTORY is becoming something of a "curiosity", rather than something we all learned as we grew up.
This also applies to the history classes that taught us about our GOVERNMENT...you know, those THREE branches of it, and how they were INTENDED to work...
Well, such intentions have all but fallen by the wayside these days...and here's how:
--We have the JUDICIAL branch making laws...
And THAT is unconstitutional.
--We have the EXECUTIVE branch making laws...
And THAT is also unconstitutional.
--What about CONGRESS?
They're sitting on their thumbs and ALLOWING the OTHER TWO branches to run the damn show.
And THAT is woefully unconstitutional.

Seems really STRAIGHT-FORWARD, does it not?

See, there is this system of "checks and balances" that does NOT permit any ONE branch to wield that much power, and certainly not to the degree that it meddles into every single aspect of our personal lives, as it has been allowed to do.

THIS, gentlemen, is a big EFFIN deal.

There needs to be a "restoration of balance" in ALL branches of our government IF we are to have our democratic republic continue as the Founders had originally created it.
Time to keep all the damn thumbs off the scale of justice, and tipping it in favor of a few, while ignoring the many.
And, it is high time that WE, THE PEOPLE had OUR say, for every single one of these politicians work FOR us...not AGAINST us.
That is the message we need to send to all of them if we are to survive and continue as the greatest nation on the planet.
We should all be up to that task, in whatever capacity we are able.
